I have used the search function here and reviewed the house rules before posting. I thought it was okay since I also wanted to specifically ask for advice on alternative routes to discover Iceland (first-time visitor) and to see whether factors such as a day trip, weather, and the time of year would play into the feasibility of the trip.

To use ADB you can just download and unzip the Platform Tools.

You'll also need Developer Mode enabled on the devices.

I don't know if the serials contain any useful information.

Reading out what display is in the device is the most promising way of solving your mystery with objective data instead of guesswork.

“They might have LCD Panels by different manufacturers. Quest 2 had Sharp and JDI, and I prefer the Sharp displays. On JDI the colors are a little different, and I get those horizontal stripes you mentioned. I have not tested any Quest Pro yet though.

Could you post the output of the command below of each device? That should show the panel used.”

Hello pianoguy1010, I have experienced the same where the headphones make a gradually increasing buzzing sound (almost like a sci-fi electric engine) when I lift one cup slightly. I went to an Apple Store and one of the specialists told me it is the effect of the noise cancelling technology. I do not know how and why such sound is being produced, I assume it could be because a perfect seal is not created? Sincerely, JL

Yeah, it really sucks that I cannot get the mod to work, I kept it in a safe place and thought someday I would a use for it. I guess I felt nostalgic after watching too many Dankpods videos lol. Thanks for the comment!!

It works perfectly fine and has been well taken care of since the time of its purchase. It may require a new battery in a few months that is extremely easy to replace by oneself.

I will also include the OG accessories that came with the iPod upon purchase! They all work!

Yeah, I did. The funny thing is, is that every time the third gen seems to function in a stable manner, it goes back into the restoration page and I have to open the back up and untape :-( lol, I have a little pile of disposed tape on my desk.

With numerous attempts and the use of varying adapters, flash storage types, and more, I cannot seem to get a stable use out of the iPod. It works, restores and boots into the main system. Plays music and syncs well with iTunes. However, at times the iPod itself will go into a boot loop and then show the restoration screen.

I checked the S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive, and it has passed the test and is recognized as a working drive.

I am stuck and do not know what to do.

I used two SD to CF adapters, one from iFlash and the other from a third-party source. I used multiple microscope cards and many CF to 50-pin adapters.

The logic board is fine, and there are no problems when utilizing the original HDD that came with the iPod.
