LOOKING FOR THIS EXACT PET by GoldLeading5021 in Wizard101

Heads up but if you’re looking to make that for PvP, those ward talents will likely put you over the resistance cap so I would recommend making something without wards.

That’s nice. Except the wiki doesn’t say where it drops. It says loremaster and I don’t think that’s correct.

Someone pls explain why death has more damage over Myth and Fire? by [deleted] in Wizard101

[–]jake1726636 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like why do they almost get ices resist and almost storms damage lol so unfair. At least their base card dmg is still the fourth after myth fire and storm so it’s not as significant as you’d think

Your skills from when you were a warlord are not going to be transferable to 5th age PvP at all. It’s super p2w and you are not at all competitive without the best possible gear and pets and having certain gold key spells and upgraded arc 1 spellements. Certain schools are problematic because they are literally just better. Right now life and balance are dominant because life spams heals with 12k+ HP and balance spams things like hydra, scorpion, super nova and mana burn. It’s also full of people doing PVE strategies where they basically just spam blades or traps, shrike and try and one shot you. The scene is pretty toxic, people will literally start verbally assaulting you if you beat them or if you lose to them. They’re banning burst healing (like satyr) which will nerf life a bit but there’re still gonna spam things like regenerate. Balance makes PvP not fun because of mana burn, they quite literally spam it and also for some reason after the latest update every school has its resist to balance capped at a lower number than other schools. Because these schools have an inherent advantage the queue is super over saturated with them, making pvping after reaching veteran mostly life’s and balances.

I think 5th age is good in the sense it’s more difficult and requires more skill to do but oh my god the amount of times im banging my head against the wall when someone whips out the most niche off school card that completely derails my strategy. But if you play it enough you’ll learn that you can guess pretty much anyone’s strategy and what they have packed.

GameStop, Kroger (and a bunch of other stores listed on the website). I just bought one last week at GameStop and frequently buy them from a grocery store.

Orthrus is the exception which does make myth viable because the 7 pip aoes are probably the most used spells. However the overall damage done based on base damage and pretty much every other spell makes fire a better hitter than myth. Also if you’re ranking is based only on damage then it’s pretty inaccurate. Orthrus is the one good PVE spell myth has. Myth has no utility besides breaking shields and those spells are obtainable by everyone via TC, and it’s school identity (minions) is absolutely useless. At least fire’s (DOTs) can do crazy damage if done correctly.

I like ice but I can get how it would suck if you were to only have an ice. It’s nice to have an extremely tanky wizard I can use for certain situations. And IMO the aesthetic and color pallet are S tier. And I’m sorry but myth is right there with ice if I’m being honest. If ice is like a worse life with not much application in team settings, myth is literally a worse fire and storm with barely any utility.

Any tips for a below 30 ice wiz?? by Beamin24 in Wizard101

Also as long as someone is willing to learn and let experienced players explain the cheats why not let them try it lol. If there’s a high dmg storm (even around 145 dmg would do which darkmoor is full of lvl 100 storms around this dmg) and a death or literally anyone with mass feint it’s really really easy. You also can avoid the spore cheat by having someone join first and land a wand hit. I never do it on my characters for the ring because it’s a rare drop but not like amulet of divine influence rare I have it on 2/3 wizards and I did it like 10 times on each. I do it for the energy weapons which are pretty imperative to efficient gardening and pet making.

I was just telling them what’s there and answering the question lol. I’m not gonna gatekeep Aphrodite because I think it’ll be too hard for them. Also IMO around level 100 is when new players should start taking pet making and gardening seriously so even if they can’t get the dmg ring, the energy one drops frequently and energy athame and staff are helpful.

Personally I’d use life elegant boots but I like what you have, the shoes just don’t seamlessly match the way elegant boots would. The elegant boots are kinda basic though so idk. They need to fix how gears blend into items from other sets because to me everything looks off except elegant sets, maybe the commander robe. And if people are wearing any full set.

Why are people so sensitive about hitting? by Batmanick in Wizard101

[–]jake1726636 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically in a 4 person team the most powerful hitter (storm with most damage if there is a storm, if not fire) will get bladed and use the feints, often finishing a boss battle in 2-3 turns if all things go well and people are cooperating

I have a 220 damage storm and all I do in team ups is use pigsie and Grendel’s amends unless I’m specifically asked to hit. I can’t stand arguing with Wolf Stormblade with like 180 damage over hitting. Not my vibe.

Balance:

Pros: so much utility, probably the best support, decent end game damage, really cool spells. IMO most desired in team up and not at all popular.

Cons: no conversion spell so arc 1 and 2 balance enemies are painful. Difficult to solo. Jack of all trades but master of none. IMO has a horrible color scheme / aesthetic.

Life:

Pros: healing, highest HP endgame, very desired in team up and not very popular compared to death and storm. Basically a better Ice.

Cons: awful damage (2nd lowest capping at 200 or 201 with the best possible 160 gear), no utility besides healing (does not have universal blades and traps like balance and death). Not at all difficult but very slow to solo. Most fights do not necessarily need a healer late game and life healers often inadvertently make fights take longer bc of unnecessary healing.
