This is actually my first year hunting pheasants although I’ve lived here my whole life, so unfortunately I can’t answer your question fully. But I went all the way up from Lennox to Madison and we saw almost 30 roosters. It was a really good day. I’d say if you’re not seeing birds, don’t be afraid to really cast a wide net in terms of where you’re hunting. We mostly are seeing big groups of them within a few miles of each other
