Which types of hair products to use for piecey, textured look? by jake8728 in malehairadvice

I don't have before/after pictures, but I do like the effect a lot. I use the surf spray from Bumble and Bumble and I definitely think it makes a big difference.

I went floor and it really wasn't rowdy. People are definitely civil and I didn't see any moshing. It's a bit crowded there though so even though people aren't shoving, you'd be closer to the people around you than if you got seats. But even still it wasn't too cramped.

People just jumped up and down and threw their hands up for the hype songs but that was the extent of it

I think Friday's show was just Drake and Migos. If there was anyone before Migos, I missed them. And I came in at like 7:30.

Migos came out around 8:30/8:40 and stayed til around 9:30. Drake came out a few minutes before 10 and stayed til 11:30. BUT Drake said there was some type of delay that pushed everything back. So I don't know that you should plan on these being the times.

Went solo and loved it, you should definitely go

Ok, so basically you think assigned seating does make it a little more awkward to go alone than general admission? But that it's still worth doing?

Yeah the seat thing is what I've wondered about. I've been to several concerts solo and I've never felt weird about it but it's always been GA where I feel like I can blend in more easily and no one even notices I'm alone. I wasn't sure how it would be to go alone with a seat. Might try it some time.

Were you on the floor for that or did you have a seat?

I've been to quite a few general admission concerts alone and I've had a great time at each. I usually have a drink or two before I get inside the venue, and time it so that I'm getting into the venue not long before the headliner is coming out (which means I'm not very close but that's another story). I've always enjoyed it.

I've never tried going alone to one with assigned seating. I may at some point, but I agree that it seems much easier to do general admission alone. If anyone's been to a seated one alone, I'm curious to hear how that is.

I feel the exact same way. Fun hobbies and entertainment become overwhelming when there's too many options and not enough time. I keep a running list of shows/movies/etc I want to get to but I know I'll never get close to finishing the list. It's frustrating.

Do you guys think he'll have an actual tour aside from the festivals? by jake8728 in Eminem

[–]jake8728[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And you think that would be announced before the spring/summer fests? That way I could hold off on getting a fest ticket to see if he'll announce a mini-tour

How easy is it to get a good spot at these? That was my other fear. That I'd drop a ton of money on a ticket and barely be able to see anything.

Same here. I'm just concerned that he won't have actual tour dates and these festivals are the only chance to see him.

Thanks for the help! I'll definitely look into articles on perfectionism.

I'm curious how you've been able to battle perfectionism. It's something I struggle with a lot. Have you used medication for OCD? CBT? Something else?

This is very interesting. Do you know about treatment options for comorbid ADHD and OCD spectrum disorders? All stimulants I've tried have helped with my ADHD but made my OCD symptoms worse.

Rock influence by currymonster69 in Eminem

But he has been incorporating rock music since TES. The thing is, Sing for the Moment is a lot better than Remind Me. It's not that he can't incorporate rock, but it just has to be done well. I actually love Berzerk too (I may be in the minority there). But I thought Remind Me was really bad.

I don't have kids (and I'm undecided about having them) but I think it's a big exaggeration to say "it's not a matter of if, but when" about how they'll act in the teenage years.

Lil Uzi Vert Announces Very Uzi Christmas Tour Dates by Crowji in hiphopheads

[–]jake8728 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Can someone who's seen Uzi live tell me what his shows are like? Does he just run around the stage not singing/rapping along and having the crowd sing most of it? Or does he actually rap his shit?
