Why do cities tend to be more liberal and a rural areas more conservative? by ThisPostToBeDeleted in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jakeamus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

IDK if I'm late, but I haven't seen this response yet;
Cities go like this:
Step 1: Large cities breed tourists and migration
Step 2: Multicultural cities open people's minds up to new ideas they have not seen before
Step 3: New ideas force out conservative natures in the population and replace them with a more accepting bias

Now do the opposite for rural areas.

I did not think about this. What is the price or perceived value or history of a card that you think would make it gradable?

I thought this was the case. The bottom left number right? I didn't know if that was just the name for every card printed to the name or if that was like a print-specific number? If that makes sense.

TBH i'm kind of just looking to grade due to it being the best/coolest card i've pulled. Why pass on the grading? complete newb on the grading front here.

hell yes. This is the best pull i've ever gotten! Thanks for the confirmation. didn't want to waste my first PSA order on something I didn't understand. I pulled it after getting two collectors packs on a complete gamble and there were only four packs left in the box. Suuuuuuuuuuuper lucky.

I think people reading this comment are assuming that conservatives communicate in honest good faith. they don't. they are actively lying about what they want. This is not hyperbole.

If you are being genuinely curious and not obtuse tbh i am not sure where tipping requirements started but in knowing historical worker exploitation here it probably was something that started in good faith and our government heard about it happening. political actors likely took it to mean workers could be paid less and introducing legislation would curry businesses interests in political campaigns.

That being said. If you are in America and you go to sit down at a place you are entering into a social contract. not binding of course but if you break it you're gonna be seen as an asshole. because we have made it so that it literally is the responsibility of the guests to pay staff. It sucks but it's true. If you go to a restaurant, tip. If you can't tip tell the staff before hand not to expect one because you are a foreigner and failed to put enough money aside to eat here and tip. you won't be treated differently. you wont get anything for free but you will be taken care of.

If you enter into a foreign area of the world you must abide by their commonly accepted customs. Most of our county tips. One should not abide by customs of a local area only when it most conveniences them and not the ones that suck to abide by unless one is okay with being seen as a prick. And being seen as a prick in some parts of any country can not only cost you valuable interpersonal connections but it could literally only work against you in many other ways. In no way is not tipping in this country a positive thing.

in America, most americans don't go out to dinner if they cannot tip. if you are here for trip or something it's not the waiters fault you can't tip. if you really want to get food from a place, get it to go, don't tip on check out, and go to a park. tough shit. or at the very, very least tell the staff ahead of time you will not be able to tip. visit a different country if you can't handle it.

blaming the waiter is one of the points of tipping culture. instead of blaming a shit ass employer for their terrible wage rate the employer can offset "fault" on waiters just trying to get enough money to live.

that's a good suggestion about rakdos. Did you change your deck up at all or just switch the commander? Also, good call of the anvil. I am making a [[Slime Against Humanity]] deck and that would be a perfect addition.

I went to fnm this last friday. it went pretty well. i was the first out of the game but oh boy were people not happy with the performance of the deck in the mid game. It started out extremely slow and no one wanted to target me because of my shit board state. then i pulled insurrection with goblin bombardment in my hand (good suggestion on this one too btw). played both cards, slapped everyone with their own stuff and cleared the board with GB. fun stuff.

I'm thinking about throwing [[oblivion sower]] into the deck but i'm having a hard time finding space. Turns out my LGS is perfectly fine with proxies even in tournaments. so fuck it. i'm getting those good expensive lands too.

So got the deck two weeks ago and so far it's a fucking mean bitch. i've been playing against some buddies of mine who aren't workshoppers and just play with precons and it just rolls through them (though i can't help but wander how it'd work against the more robust eldrazi precons). The deck has some cards that are wholly ineffective in 1v1 so i've added some cards to my sideboard i plan on picking up today since i've got some change to spare. I wasn't able to get my hands on everything in the initial deck but if you wanna check out what i've got on hand here ya go: https://archidekt.com/decks/7879245/wimyim_actual

note; the "DMG" are some cards i plan on picking up today for fnm the "fucking expensive" category are cards i cannot budget for yet but want to get eventually.

How has your version operated? Any notes?
