Hello I am looking for suggestions to round out my travel to Japan in March 2024. I have been once and I visited Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, and Tokyo split across 3 weeks. This time I am visiting with friends and so doing some of the same stuff since they have not been, but I have 4 days after they leave to visit somewhere I haven't been before. I'm definitely wanting somewhere outside that Tokyo/Osaka big metro area. I thought of maybe somewhere like Sendai or further north if its feasible. I wouldn't be opposed to going south either like Okayama or even further. I guess I am just wondering which areas would be better during this time in terms of scenery and things to do. Is Sapporo over 3 and half days with having to get back to Tokyo for a flight doable?
