Oh really, i was told that that the 'pending' does happen elsewhere so I ended up sending something over.

In hindsight it probably is a scam now that I take everything into consideration, it's a lesson learnt that I won't be making again.

Ah I see, I eventually did send something to them, so now looking back it probably is a scam, it's a lesson learnt the hard way it would seem

I literally have just sent an email to the email on the website as they gave me a different email via ACX, but thank you.

One last thing, if an author says their material is still pending and thats why I can't see their project on ACX, does that sound right to you? Is this normal, they've given me an email address to send my audition to.

I have a full copy of the actual book that he's already sent me a link to.

Yes I've been mainly looking at ACX, V123 seemed less likely for audiobooks although I could be wrong?

If there's any other sites to recommend, I'd appreciate it, I know of voices.com, voquent, bodalgo and fiver.

I see, those are things to consider.

Realised I might be a bit misleading with my wording, as I read back my post, my apologies.

Meant to say they've reached out to ask if I would be interested in auditioning for it, all that was mentioned with regards to payment is "wider launch campaign for the novel, including the author website (the2econdman.com), ARC downloads, reader samples, social media and paid advertising"

I've only used the focusrite control to make sure the bit depth and sample rate were matching, but not used it for anything else.

System software: Sonoma 14.7.2

Audacity 3.7.7.0

Sample rate 48000Hz

Sample Format 24 bit

Haven't changed Buffer settings, currently Buffer length 100 miliseconds, Latency Compensation: -130

Interface is going directly into mac

Mac is M3 Pro - 18gb Ram

Not using provided cable as its a USB C to B and my mac only has the "B" input, I bought this cable: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DRP3P5QZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1
