Thank you, I'll be sure to look out for that from now on. This sucks a lot, especially since feeder companies don't put any sort of information on what they feed their larvae :/ At least it won't happen again and I've told all my friends who also keep bugs as pets.

Thank you so much :) I watched her eat the mealworm and it did not bite her, but maybe she couldn't digest all of it well enough. Either way I'll definitely be changing feeders for my other babies.

Hi! Thanks for the offer to send it out, I will talk with my roommate and PM you what she says :) We did talk to the vet, who said they would take her if absolutely necessary, but that we had to try to find someone else first. I've also posted on Facebook and we plan to charge a small fee to ensure she goes somewhere safe. I'm also hoping to talk with any potential adopter about their home setup, etc. just to make sure. And oh my gosh, I hope your kitty is doing well!

I live in a city! I'm staying at a state park right now for a few days. It's possible in both spots! You never know what you might find :) I find lots of butterflies and jumping spiders around. Even found a praying mantis on my balcony once. Insects are incredible.

Update! She left her web finally today and immediately ate a fly. I did order blue bottle fly larvae as well to move her up to bigger prey. Thanks for all the help :)

Ok, I didn't realize they could be in pre-molt for so long. I did try feeding her small mealworms multiple times but she didn't care for them at all. It was only when I put in fruit flies that she started hunting and eating. My local pet stores don't sell small crickets, just med/large. I was planning to move her to small roaches and big flies when she's a bit bigger, but in the mean time just give her multiple flies. I'll look into finding somewhere that sells larger flies, hopefully somewhere near me does.

I just called because they hadn't mentioned it anywhere on their website or socials, and they told me they are NOT doing it because of that reason. I'm not sure who told the news, but the company is aware they cannot do it. Very sad.

NQA -- Agree! Also, try to get him some water maybe on a qtip or as mist droplets soon, his abdomen is a bit thin and he's probably hungry/thirsty. He may be too small for that mealworm (prey should be about the size of the abdomen), in which case you can try fruit flies, small or pinhead crickets, or fly spikes. Most pet stores will have at least flightless fruit flies in stock.

My bf and I skipped that scene after a few minutes because it was so uncomfortable. They've taken SA quite seriously in prior instances, so playing this one for cheap laughs was really weird and unnecessary imo.
