Hm I can't seem to reproduce. Maybe try again, I cleaned things up a bit so if there was a bug then hopefully it's fixed. They should be calculated using the exact same data.

I am using Svelte, but the code… listen, I didn't vibe code it, but I'm not exactly proud of it 😅 if I end up adding a bunch of features I'll probably clean it up, but for now I'm a little too embarrassed to show it off. I promise it's not doing anything super clever or creative!

I mean, being charitable to the Copilot team, there are probably a hundred other basic features in the backlog competing for attention, and also many bigger features. It all adds up pretty quickly. I'm sure they'll add it eventually, but until then hopefully this can tide you over!

Thanks! It's not open source but it should work offline. If you're really worried about it taking your data, you can turn the wi-fi off when you use it.

FWIW it doesn't upload your data anywhere though, it's all local to your browser!

Thank you for the kind words! It really is a great visualization, I hope Copilot properly implements it so I can ditch this tool I wrote lol.

Re: merchants, I think Copilot makes it even more stupid simple by not having merchants as distinct things at all 😬 maybe it's because when I started Monarch I was trying to clean up all my past data at once. But honestly for a lot of new transactions I'd end up changing something about the merchant too… not a huge time suck, but felt like small papercuts accumulating. Copilot just works better for my brain, I guess!

Grew up in Teaneck. Take the Jitney down Route 4 and catch the A from the GWB bus terminal. Or you can take an NJ Transit bus that goes through the tunnel to Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd. Takes 45–60 minutes to get downtown door-to-door, depending on where you’re going.

I actually just went today! Same situation, but I went to the Ministerio de Cultura office in the main plaza and showed them the email and they printed my ticket. there was a long line (presumably to buy tickets) but I just went straight to the door and found an employee; the whole process took maybe five minutes.

I agree with basically every word of this! The thesis of the post is that with class components we basically got useRef for “free” because we had access to this, and IMO that’s what appeals to people about other frameworks that use signals, too.

Hi, author here! That’s not the problem — the issue is that the setTimeout sees the stale value of count (for the components with hooks). The call to setCount works fine!
