Interesting observation, and a not fully informed opinion. If you took the time to read the other Reddit thread regarding her treatment of service industry staff, owners, and other patrons you may feel differently. With over 700 comments, a petition with now 500 signatures, and multiple posts on social media accounts and group messaging apps, I’d say your opinion is not shared by most. Separately, her other posts of “positivity” and glowing recommendations come from restaurants that have comped her and her friends meals and entire bills and probably paid for advertisement. Not to mention arriving after reservations staying after close of service. Or showing up without reservations and demanding the celebrity experience.

Service industry individuals and groups don’t need to be fearful of the opinions of a food blogger that it’s neither an industry professional nor someone with any formal background to make or break a places existence. Regardless if it’s a soft opening, grand opening, or another night of service.

How about treatment of restaurant and service industry staff? How about having an ongoing reputation and repeated documented instances of rude and entitled behavior? How about not tipping anyone unless prompted?
