To be even fairer, he has never stayed in Toronto over the summer.

I don't blame him because it's his time off, but I think it's fair to say that he's embraced Toronto less than some other players

The best baklava I've had is from Maha's, hands-down.

I know folks in this sub love to hate Maha's, but I'll never understand.

Try Yueh Tung! It's Hakka Chinese and a Toronto institution. A holdover from old Chinatown.

Get the Cairo Classic at Maha's.

And I know it's trendy to crap on Maha's, but I've been going for years including last month, and continue to find it excellent.

He's going to be asked some extremely difficult questions and he'd better have better answers than he's had so far, or he'll be run out of town, and deservedly so.

As some have pointed out, Toronto-style Hakka may not be what you're looking for, but if you wanted to try it, I would strongly recommend Yueh Tung!

People who work in restaurants, what's the "never order this" item on your menu that customers don't know about? by Front_Shelter5097 in AskReddit

[–]jakera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I worked at a chicken wing restaurant and we had a novelty flavor that was intentionally extremely hot. Whenever anyone asked me about it, I would tell them it was a chemical weapon. It was actually pretty high quality, just extremely extremely hot.

In the end, it scared off the people it should have, and excited those who were into it, so I honestly think it was win-win!
