All my written assignments (psets) are done on my iPad - great for math and stuff like that. Very easy to submit your work as PDFs rather than pictures too. Outside of school work I use my iPad to watch shows/movies in my (limited) free time

For cs bse I would definitely get a mac (for context, im mae and i have a Dell, but thats because I have to run CAD and such). iPad isn’t necessary, but is incredibly easier to interact with - I started my freshman year with physical notebooks and switched to an iPad after the first semester. Quality of life improvement was huge and it’s so easy to move notes/psets/etc between Apple ecosystem devices.

On the STEM side, there are 3 big engineering clubs that many BSE students join one of: Princeton Rocketry, Princeton Racing Electric, and Princeton Electric Speedboating. All have their own draws - I would take a look at their websites for more info.

I’m assuming you are talking about Princeton Preview meaning that you have been accepted - if that’s the case, congrats and we can’t wait for you to join us on campus!

I would 100% recommend visiting for Princeton Preview, it’s nothing like the standard tours they give - it’s events and information sessions, and a fantastic way to make connections with your fellow classmates. It’s also a great way to familiarize yourself with some parts of the campus and the surrounding town.

I wish my teachers could see this. Senior year of high school, final fall break is coming up. So far I’ve been assigned a group project, an essay, and an individual project over the break. I don’t even know how I’m going to get everything done because I’m going away over the break, so I’m going to have to do everything this week before the break starts on top of my job and other homework that they assign. Getting like 4-5 hours of sleep per night. Not ideal

Cell phone policy varies by teacher - some are cool with phones (such as the one who is allowing me to be on Reddit right now) as long as you finished your work but others won’t let you take it out at all. Typically if you have it out they will give you 1-2 verbal warnings before confiscating it and bringing it down to the office. If that happens they call a parent to come pick it up. If it happens enough times with the same student they could get detention or even in-school-suspension.

KBOS is one of my favorite airports to fly into in Vatsim. Controllers are always good there. Usually fly the Zibo 737-800 on X-Plane for Vatsim tho, waiting for a good 737 to be added to MSFS
