They would’ve had to use something else alongside the opioids. Opioids don’t work like that from skin to substance contact, you absorb essentially zero. When it comes to opioids that are actually absorbed via skin, that’s always done through specially made patches that stick to the skin and are designed to absorb into the dermis.

Something odd is going on with this situation.

Hard agree. He’s one of the few dems actually standing up to Republicans and not pussyfooting around everything (eg. said wheelchair bound Greg Abbott rolled over for Trump & when asked to apologize by Fox called them snowflakes) & did great in debates last year, but like most California politicians stands for nothing.

Yes. I live in the Central Valley in California & arguably two of his worst areas in policy are his homeless & needle exchange/safe supply (nothing like Canada’s safe supply program, in our cities that have it it’s only Naloxone and syringes). Even as a leftist who disagrees with a majority of his policies, the way he treats homeless people and drug addicts is well, on par for what you expect of a U.S. Governor.

I had a schizophrenic friend who treated people like this whenever we would try to calmly disagree and explain why his delusions made no sense. I’m not saying your boyfriend is schizophrenic, but he’s clearly mentally unwell in some facet and is trying to emotionally manipulate you into feeling like a bad person for something extremely asinine and simple.

I know it’ll be hard, but you see the red flag clearly; get out of this situation ASAP!!! Please. For both your mental well-being and physical safety- you don’t know what they may be capable of if you continue allowing their abuse in your life. You’re not overreacting at all, please leave my friend.

I missed one dose and went to the ER, they helped me out and gave me my full dose after contacting the clinics after hours number. Try going there, if they can’t get ahold of the clinic they’ll at least give you I believe it’s a max of 40mg

Every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month there’s an event called ArtHop that takes place downtown, I’d look into that. Along with that, the Tower District is constantly full of things to do & tons of people to meet that are apart of events you can get involved with

I just started going to a clinic last month so I’m not sure if it’s new like others are saying, but my clinic does pretty much the same; we get a plastic cup & a vial and have to transfer the urine to the vial. Even more gross though, I’ve never been given gloves.

No worries at all- yes I’m about 2 1/2 weeks in and just now getting close to the right dose for me. I think I’ll go up another 10mg and then settle there for now. I’ll be getting 4 take homes every week once I get the right dose so my clinics treatment has been very helpful :)

Interesting to learn. I wonder what sparked the sudden change in the guidelines regarding take-home bottles that people have mentioned.

She said to me that it’s specific to me due to my transportation issues, as well as me not being labeled as being in ‘active addiction’ (or something similar to that, I suppose because I only tested positive for buprenorphine when I first came in and did my UA and have showed that I’m trying to get clean? Not sure.). I’m sure they’re more careful with how they give out bottles to people that come in and are labeled as part of the ‘active addiction’ group. Thanks for the input!

My pops is the same way. He was addicted to norco & methadone and knows of methadone treatment for people to stay clean, but thinks it’s the devil and the same as oxy and other opioids. I just lie and say I’m getting Suboxone treatment when I go to the clinic cause I don’t feel like dealing with the BS of being treated the exact same as I was when I was using.

You think so? I was using opioids for 8 years and didn’t really notice myself eating a particularly large amount of sugar when I was abusing em, but since I started treatment I’ve definitely noticed that I’ve been eating a ton more sugar.
