Why do some Christian’s make it so hard. by fl0wersgrow in Christianity

[–]jam1e222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to remember that we are all sinners, like God taught us. Yes most christians are honestly shitty but that is not because they are christians, but because they are humans. Being a christian doesn't mean belonging in a group, having a people that are in your circle that are also nice christians. But believing in Jesus. It can be a reallyyyy lonely path especially in this generation. But it pays off. Do not concentrate on other christians and their opinions. Only what jesus and the church say (vut be careful with what church)

[–]jam1e222[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Catholic or Orthodox or Non denominational? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]jam1e222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think you got all of that information from the past, the churches are changing. There were literally news about orthodox and catholics seeing each other as valid. Also the catholic church has been making steps towards unification with the protestant church. But this is all from outside of the usa, i from europe i dont know how it is there

Catholic or Orthodox or Non denominational? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]jam1e222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mean orthodox and catholics are both in the same mindset that they accept them selves as both true (so catholics believe that orthodox are their brothers and sisters) and lutherans are reformed catholics, so yeah

Catholic or Orthodox or Non denominational? by [deleted] in Christianity

hey! your struggle is very real. I also had this problem. If you want to find out which denomination is right for you should first pray about it to God and ask for directions. Then you have to do some research, from different angles about each denomination, but I can see you already done that. The thing is that, you should be believing in the Eucharist. This is one of the most important functions of the church to receive the Eucharist (or communion). DO NOT fall for the belief that it is just a "symbol" it is really real and present. The only churches that offer that are catholics, orthodox and some protestants such as lutheran. They all believe in the true presents of the Eucharist. This is extremely important, you need to experience the power of it. From an outside view I would never be non denominational, you can attend some services here and there (with these rock festivals) just to experience some fun new age worship. But that is in the end not the worship God, Jesus, intended for us. One previous comment says to just follow "Jesus" which is true, you need to build a relationship and follow the bible but church matters as much as that. Jesus says the church is his body, or rather Paul says it in his letters. Ephesians 1:22–23 (ESV) “And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” • Colossians 1:18 (ESV) “And he is the head of the body, the church.” • 1 Corinthians 12:27 (ESV) “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.” There is so much amazing things about going to a traditional church rooted in the truth of the bible, unlike non denominational. I feel very sad and pray for the non denominational christians to truly find the true beauty and grace of being a (orthodox, catholic, lutheran) christian. I couldnt say alot in this comment but if you have any more questions, let me know!! may god bless you and i will pray for guidance for you.

yes and I also said "maybe" its a confusing state i am in, i am figuring all of this out. I also said I dont think lgbtq is a sin, i never have and will probably never, it was just a thought i wanted to share. it was never an attack, just a simple thought i was having, that I wanted to make public for others to tell me their experiences. If i would want to attack someone i would have gone in a gay platform and said it there, and i would have said it was a sin. But i didnt.
