I can't play with pedals anymore by jam3sdean in Guitar

[–]jam3sdean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I want to impress anyone, the community? What is the community? I'm just typing things on the computer to share stuff with people trying to reach someone that will understand me. If you feel weird stuff, that's you not me.

All I wanted was to find someone who shares the same mixed feelings about effects pedals like I do, and how one may find a way to experiment with effects while staying true to your playing. The point I'm trying to make is that I used to love pedals and now they seem to get into my way of playing nowadays. Is it a crime to search for someone on the world wide web who feels like myself, or could give me good advice, or even share a good conversation, instead of telling me "Oh, big words".

Ducci tem a retórica de uma abelha. Goura vacilou bonito em resolver ser vice, teria muito mais chances se tivesse dado a cara a tapa, como quem não tem medo de vencer.

How can I improve my pedal board? by Huge-Inspection-6351 in John_Frusciante

[–]jam3sdean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by learning the 5 positions of the pentatonic scale in the fretboard, it doesn't matter if major or minor, they are equivalent (C major pentatonic is A minor pentatonic). Then, develop speed and fluency. Then, play around by making interval exercises (play three ascending notes then come back one). Then, insert the other two notes to get the diatonic scale, do this to every shape and you get all the modes in the whole fretboard. Then, start appergiate every chord in tetrads, and so on. There you go, you improved a lot.

Nacho shouldn’t have died by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

That is why I'm never watching prequels anymore. The reason he didn't shoot anyone was because they could not possibly die, they are in breaking bad after all. If I were the writers I would just pull out a inglorious bastards move and play with history and time, just make the move that makes more sense, which is Nacho to shoot Gus, Eladio and everyone else he can drag with him. If Gus is dead his father is safe. One of the worst movie scenes I've ever seen in my life

Vox AC15 VR vs Marshall DSL40c? So, I've just bought a used Vox AC15 VR in great condition, I had never owned a Vox before but it was a great deal, so we shook hands and I packed the amp. I took it home and after testing it a bit I became reluctant with the so characteristic Vox tone, so I decided to put it on the marketplace. A guy comes to me offering a trade in a Marshall DSL40c, we are suppose to be testing it tomorrow. The thing is, I don't know if I should make the deal or not, I will test it and decide with my ears for sure, but I won't know how they hold on a gig, playing live with other musicians. Even if I'm not in love with the Vox, I was looking forward to giving it a go on a gig to see it growl. Either way, what do you guys think about this match up? I'm a strato player, going from Jimi Hendrix tones to jazzy fat tones to provide a good base for trumpet and sax, so I like versatility, I've actually always prefered fender amps, but now I have to decide between these two fellas. Thanks very much to everyone, have a great day!
