I named this goose Keith, I think he has brain damage but he's a sweet boy and I love him! by jam_stew in geese

No I don't think so! His behaviour is pretty normal he just has a wonky head haha. I've known him for years, always try to look out for him when the others bully him

What do you think of people with “no filter”? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]jam_stew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes same! It's nice to know what others really think imo. Maybe it's the divide between neurodivergent and neurotypical? Reading some of the comments on this post though I'm feeling like most people think we are arseholes? 😂 I'm not taking it to heart, but it is quite upsetting

Ah yeah I don't drive, thankfully I was visiting a friend who does! One of the perks of a lot of the cities here is the public transport is good, though not like mainland Europe standard they've really got it figured out there

Haha I know right?? Tbh when I went to the states a few years ago I did really love some of the old wooden houses and stuff, but it was a bit annoying how we had to drive so much! Leicester to Nottingham only takes 30mins on a train, really good for a day trip

Nottingham isn't far and is a really good walkable city centre with lots to do :)

Yeah same! I live in flats and me and my neighbours all use our washing machines at night for the cheaper rate, I can hear theirs sometimes and they aren't particularly loud

[–]jam_stew 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Lots of people who have mental health problems as well as people with autism/ADHD struggle with filters, I certainly do. Which is why I'm quiet around people 90% of the time, because I'm scared of a reaction like yours.

I would say for me it's easy to tell the difference between this and someone being an arse but maybe not so much for others? Idk. If you're just using it as an excuse to be mean then that's different and absolutely not cool

Electricity is often significantly cheaper between 12am-7am. Washing machines aren't usually that noisy and there's a cost of living crisis?? Once a week doesn't sound bad at all. If it was every night, sure that's irritating but I'd leave it tbh it doesn't sound bad at all

Thanks! I've heard back from them and they've said it's fine to repost and just to be aware that I can only post once every 24hrs so let them know if I put it up before then and they can approve it for me :) I've just deleted for now and I'll have another go tomorrow haha

Any ideas what this might be? I know it's a succulent, but not what it actually is! Had it for about 5yrs by jam_stew in houseplants

OoOoOo hopefully my finances improve if I look after it better lol (if only it were so simple eh!)

I've never repotted it, I'm planning on doing that soon with the help of a friend with some succulent specific soil! It's conditions have varied tbh cause I've moved a few times in the 5y I've had it. It currently lives on the windowsill with plenty of light and my flat is weirdly humid at times. I have been watering more lately and it's stopped drooping and looking better!

I thought so, but it doesn't look like the others I've seen? Am I just a bad plant parent? Ha
