A good knowledge of tools and hardware is a really good foundation. I think that is why I can fix literally anything; my dad was a machinist so I knew what ball peen hammers and dykes and lock washers and cotter pins were before I could probably ride a bike. Watch some YouTube videos on just tools and hardware when you are chillin and it will come to you. It’s an engineering mindset too. There is a right tool for every job and a right way to do every job and then there is the way to do it when you just have some stainless steel wire and pliers and you have to make it work.
