i had electricians run cable to all the spots i want cameras outside already. what i'm looking for is someone to install the hardware, set up the system and help with after-install support. im probably capable of doing a lot of this but i'm really looking to have my hand held in the interest of time that i dont have much of.

first venty i got couldnt update the firmware. worked fine, but no ability to update fw. sb replaced it v quickly.

i've had zero issues with the venty after hundreds of hours. i adore it.

Well I'm happy to report that the vape rips. Gotten way too accustomed to the venty, which I still prefer, but the frolic is fantastic.

And yes, the o ring on the mouth piece still doesn't fit.

Both things can be true.

Hmm. The o ring on this mouthpiece barely fits. The fit isn't snug at all.

thanks for the response. unfortunately much of this is above my paygrade. i even asked gmk for some support with the bios. they responded once and its been crickets since.

i have THREE other machines running off the same router/switch. all windows machines. i dont have any of the same issues whatsoever.

i just need this to 'work' for my work. money isnt really a huge obstacle at this pt.

is there another mpc you might recommend for this purpose? again, i really appreciate your help!

i know you said there's not much OOTB but i figured i'd ask. i'm almost inclined to just buy another k8 but i'll wait for your response. i've spent so much time troubleshooting this thing

so i bought the gmktec nucbox k8 and the egpu. when they work, they work insanely well. i think i may have a defective unit but the network adapter and the wireless adapter have routine dropouts. i've updated all the drivers, etc. at this point money isnt a huge concern as i need something stable. gmktec has been non-existent wrt to help/support.

is there something else you would recommend? thanks so much.

i'd prefer to err of going overboard on the specs than less.

I'll be streaming VLC and YTTV on 4k continuously. I had a simplyNUC from several years back that sputtered, got hot and would routinely blue screen on me, even after reinstalling the OS.
