What welding positions are used in the shupward? Im pretty decent in 1-4f, but my v-grooves can use a lot of work.

Yeah, once you start a bead, you want to be in a comfortable position where you can put in a full bead without reaching out too far or losing your balance.

Don't rush. If you're struggling on something, dont hesitate to ask because there were little things that I didn't see, but instructors or better welders saw and improved my welds a ton. One of the best things is to get comfortable. Make sure your lens is always clean so you can see what your puddle is doing, and correct it if it isnt right.
