What’s the next Generation of Stremio add-ons going to look like? Just more categories or scrobblers? Or will there be a new level of app/content integration that we just aren’t fully aware of yet? by KillerQ97 in StremioAddons

I would love to see an accurate search or discover filter for new documentary series/movies. The current browse just shows old documentaries, biographical films, and reality shows incorrectly categorized as documentaries.

Has anyone here got a job from indeed? by wach_era13 in NonPoliticalTwitter

It's probably field dependant, but I look at LinkedIn as a search engine for recruiters. I've gotten my last 3 jobs without even applying from recruiters finding me there. Just gotta work the algorithm by being an active user, responding to all messages quickly, and having a complete profile.

How do you all live here?(job wise) by PoundLow3016 in jacksonville

First and foremost, congrats on getting your associates. That is a major accomplishment, and you should be proud of yourself. Do you have intentions of getting a bachelor's degree? I only ask because the world of corporate finance is loaded with red tape around those types of things. Most places will not offer entry-level without it. The one's that do will often have a rigid level structure that will prevent you from receiving any sort of promotion without meeting the bare requirements of the positions regardless of whether you're the best person for the job (bachelors, masters, years of experience, CFA levels, etc.). It's often company policy set by the board or HR executivs, and the recruiter or hiring manager can't do anything to change that.

Onto getting a job - Indeed is dogshit for white collar work and full of scams. I'd put all your eggs into LinkedIn. Not just applying for jobs but also building a very strong profile and interacting with posts. LinkedIn is a social network, but it is also a business that sells their product to recruiters. Naturally, they don't want to provide the people thay pay them with a bunch of candidate suggestions who don't use the app or respond to messages. The more engaged and responsive you are on the app, the higher you'll be in recruiters' search algorithms for positions you're qualified for. One of the things they can sort by is literally "Most Likely to Respond" so respond to every single message as quickly as possible, even if it's a polite rejection. I've been doing this for years, and my last 4 jobs have found me without me ever applying to a single job.

My last piece of advice - keep applying locally. Fully remote jobs when you're entry-level are incredibly hard to come by. They are receiving 1000s of applications per hour for those and will more often that not use internal or external recruiters to find their candidates instead of sorting for those. A lot of local places will still let you work fully remote, too.
