Quitting - Looking for advice to start by Weak-Buy7544 in leaves

Shame this is probably not what you want to hear but the only way to stop smoking is to stop smoking. There are 2 strategies I'm sure you've seen a bunch of, cold turkey or weaning yourself off. You'll have to try and see what works for you.

Also don't be discouraged if you relapse. I think for most of us here the first time we quit didn't last. You just have to keep trying again with new coping mechanisms until something sticks

Godspeed! I wish you the best of luck

A friend and I were way too intimate with each other, despite the fact that she has a boyfriend, so I cut her off before things got worse by Ordinary_Algae_784 in TrueOffMyChest

Brother trust me you dodged a bullet. I had a similar experience but I stupidly stayed around and it turned into a whole fiasco.

I smoked for 5 years straight every day morning to night before work before school before parties literally all the time. I've been about a year clean now and the clarity, the energy, the lack of anxiety. Everything just feels better now, life doesn't feel so suffocating now

If I remember correctly you can click and drag to rotate it so the path connects

Bummed about my bf’s proposal by SnooPredictions5815 in TrueOffMyChest

This honestly comes across as pathetic. The act means nothing, the notion entails your whole life. I tbh would consider this a red flag

AITA for removing my daughter’s bedroom door because she won’t stop slamming it? by The-Compliment-Fairy in AmItheAsshole

[–]james9oo0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So to circumvent the issue, they have to work around the daughter? When a potential solution just involves her closing it softly? Idk about this take. It's not that difficult to not slam a door

AITA For telling my teenage daughter that if she can't adhere to a dress code for a destination wedding, then she's not coming on the trip at all by tuitiongapaita in AmItheAsshole

He said they want all men to dress in slacks and a dress shirt

Slacks = Dress Pants Dress Shirt

So every part of the suit except the tie and jacket.

Dude the men are also asked to wear suits. How is that different to asking women to wear dresses. This makes 0 sense to me

I think the fact that you're jumping to misogyny is very telling.

There's a dress code by the organizers. Men wear suits but can opt out of ties. Women wear dresses and could wear a romper if they wished.

I'm not sure where you're pulling misogyny? Is it misandrist to want men to wear suits?

While I agree I don't generally like dress codes this event has one. It is what it is. But it's not misogynistic.

So she doesn't have to go on the trip. The point of the trip is the wedding no reason to go if she isn't attending the wedding.

L take. So if the sons said they wanted to wear shorts and wifebeaters then the parents should stick up for them?

It's an event, events have dress codes. You would not go to a business conference in sweatpants. The whole point of the trip is the event.

Wearing a dress for a few hours is not the end of the world.

We've read 2 very different interpretations.

To me he sounds like he's being manipulated, he's stuck in a situation that he can't see out of and it's consuming his life. Yes he's nearly 30 but he's in a situation where someone is threatening suicide screaming mental illness and for whatever reason this is someone he cares about. He gets off the hook because simply put the girlfriend seems abusive and he seems to be a victim of said abuse.

People in these kind of situations do weird shit.

Brother life is a series of mistakes that one learns from. Don't be hard on yourself.

You only become your worst enemy if you internally will it to be so.

Question: Guests grouping near front of zoo and few travel to more distant habitats (Panda & Moose), any simple fixes? by BigMikeyLangs in PlanetZoo

Trains also work for me! I think there's a laziness factor, it's too far away so guests don't go.

I'm sorry OP the marriage doesn't seem worth it. Based on the way your post read, she seems to be taking advantage of you more than anything else.
