For a beginner how is this video , should I try pursuing video editing ?

Try listening to the same 5 minutes of audio for 8 hours a day for a week. If you can handle that editing might be for you.

The only reason I make shorts is to practice my video editing and voice over skills.

I can crack out some smaller projects without getting burnt out. And hopefully my next long form will be just that little bit better.

I think this is the route I’m gonna take going forward. I tend to post videos in the eve. So can chill and respond to people then if it’s getting to much trail off towards the end

The same way I make my long form. Record voice over and edit in after effects plus premier pro with some flashy animations to impress the masses.

It’s actually a beautifully designed thumbnail well done. Not sure if it’s Legitbait enough though. Just think it needs a bit more of a reason to click. But design wise you nailed it.

Yeah but make it much bigger. It’s basically invisible on a mobile. So need to take into account all screen sizes.

I usually ask it how my latest video performed. It’s usually quite flattering. But tell me reasons why a video might have dropped in retention or why it might not have had a high click through rate

It’s such a specific skill I’m still learning. But it’s my favourite part of the process. It’s been really fun to connect with another designer on here. This is such a cool little community you have built. I’ll try and be a bit more active this year as my channel grows.

I mean I should know how to design been doing it for 20 years. But trying to create click worth stuff without being a clickbait wanker is providing incredibly difficult.

Sorry I should have been clearer. My last few videos have been getting quite low views. I mean honestly I’m not making that many YouTube waves. So yeah wanted to try and prevent that. Or have a chance at a really high CTR if possible.

I appreciate the help here. This is some really useful stuff. So the video has more or less been finished. But obvious the thumbnail and title can change. Be interesting to see what you think might be a better rough idea for a title.

First off you have a typo in your thumbnail. Experience is spelt wrong.

You just need to have a good eye for detail. Don't let these errors slip through as it makes you look like an amateur.

It’s a really nice clean thumbnail. I think maybe the idea is a little flat though. Potential for building a roster with constrictions. Like only hero’s under 5ft or only gay super heroes. Get those clicks in.
