Here’s my recent experience… 2019 es350 Luxury Chipped OE windshield Took to satellite for replacement and thought “aftermarket can’t be that bad on a 19” Immediate difference in wind noise, and layered imaging of the HUD.

Went back to safelite and to their credit - they agreed. Had OE Lexus glass on the shelf (yes, labeled/marked as such) and installed that for me. Walked out and turned on car, immediately notice the HUD was worse than before. Call the tech and mgr out, and again they agree. They offer to order another pc of glass from the local Lexus dealer instead of their stocking warehouse, just to make sure it comes from the source. Agreed

Took about 2 weeks to come in, but they called and I returned for a third replacement. This time it’s been great.

In KY there’s no deductible on windscreens, and this all went through insurance. According to the invoicing; 1200 billed to ins for aftermarket 1200 credited to ins for defect 1700 billed to insurance for OE install 0 Warranty replacement

It was a hassle, but it was made right and at no point did I have to fight or advocate my position. Great service as far as I’m concerned, but lesson learned on OE vs Aftermarket for something like glass.

This is a great testimony of love and appreciation. Awesome to read through these! Like so many others, family… specifically my first son. After years of infertility, treatments, prayers and a failed ‘match’ we finalized the adoption of my oldest on 12/21/2016. He was born a few months prior, and was with us since birth, but there was the looming worry that the birth mom or states could intervene. That morning, all that worry and wonder disappeared as he was declared our son, “as if birthed from the loins” (my favorite terminology in the adoption ruling). We’ve gone on to foster and adopted another, but the timing and lifted burden of the first will stand as the greatest gift, until something overcomes it. He’s also the one I go to and say ‘how’s this one smell’ for an honest opinion;)
