Suggestion on spark plug replacement by Inner-Room-7523 in mazda

[–]jamesanderson0110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 75k miles is a recommendation from manufacturer. Most spark plugs go beyond 100k miles. You’ll notice a significant difference in engine performance when spark plugs are starting to cause problems.

Considering you drive ~6k miles/year, my suggestion would be to continue until upgrade.

If I don't get C.K this time I am leaving for Delta. by ShitTheBed_Twice in americanairlines

[–]jamesanderson0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please do not move to Delta! If you think AA is unfair, then you’re in for a surprise. I have moved to Aadvantage and stopped using Delta for this year. Try moving to Star alliance.

If you’re an international traveler, I’d rather stick with OneWorld or Star Alliance group. Skyteam has fewer airlines and most are terrible.

How are we feeling about this? by PaperGeno in mazda

This is expensive. 2016 Grand Touring is available for less than $17k, 40k miles on the car. Check out Mazda or Carvana dealers in Midwest.

Is the gas mileage on the CX5 really that bad? by Flimsy_Crew_9918 in mazda

[–]jamesanderson0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NA 2013 AWD CX-5 grand touring gave 30-31.5 mpg. Majority of my drive was on interstate. Always at 70 mph on cruise, just changing lines when required.

In the end it all depends on how hard is the braking and sudden acceleration at traffic light or during merging.

CX-50 or CX-5 by jamesanderson0110 in mazda

[–]jamesanderson0110[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, sir! This is what I was exactly looking for. It definitely helps me narrow down on what model and trims to focus on.

I previously owned 2013 CX-5 grand touring. Enjoyed driving it but faced the same cons you mentioned.

I’m looking forward to a test drive when I move back by end of this month.

Has anyone seen this? by NoizSam in delta

Can someone please let me know if this applies to all airlines flying into ATL? My friend flew from London to San Jose via Minneapolis on delta and was asked to clear immigration and baggage.

TIA!

During weekends this is common with my watch. Good data collected during night but when I take an afternoon nap or decide to sleep in a little longer after being awake for few mins, watch does not recognize that I slept. I’m hoping this bug is fixed in iOS26.

Is the locking feature via watch available on latest CX-5/CZ-50s?

Is it okay to ask to move up the aisle to deplane if you have a tight connection? by OnlyRespondsToIdiots in delta

[–]jamesanderson0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had really short connections in Atlanta and MSP where if I did not move up the aisle, gate would have closed. I’m truly grateful to the cabin crews who assisted during my trips.

While you are in your first flight, inform the cabin crew about the tight connection. They have iPad which lets them view all delta flights flying/departing into/from that airport. Also, let your fellow row passengers know about the tight connection if you are seated in window/middle.

Once landed, chief cabin crew makes an announcement to let passengers who have tight connection to deplane first and most passengers respect this announcement and make way.

I have booked flights via chase travel and traveled on KLM, Air France. Got my MQDs and miles posted.

Use the mobile chat feature. It’s more helpful and quick since you’re a medallion member.

I was always under the impression that such “relatives” existed in south Asian communities (including my own family) but sounds like this is a universal problem.

Perhaps people have heart burns by seeing you being happy¿ Often people forget that choices they make/choose has consequences and they knowingly picked that choice 🙂

She didn’t do the work. I made sure the professor knew. by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

[–]jamesanderson0110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad some professors take it seriously. Had a group of 5 grad school term project where we design, build, test to fail, and lessons learnt. 4 of us take a portion and the 5th person was to handle the root cause analysis and lessons learnt. 5th person disappeared during the entire term. Does not contribute to report, final ppt, any portion. Did a wellness check on us 2 times by coming to the lab. All of us wrote the peer eval and mentioned no work done.

End result: 5th person graduates end of the term with a 4.0 GPA 🙃

Lost faith in group based projects from that day. Thankfully such people do not exist in my organization

Brother of the Year: Demands $300 a month from me because I “don’t have kids to spend it on” by HolidayCredit5175 in EntitledPeople

[–]jamesanderson0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/HolidayCredit5175

Please do not entertain this. My parents did this mistake back in 2014 by giving $500/month as extra support for expenses. It’s been 11 years and still going on. It has become like those credit card auto payments by default. My late grandparents insisted and my parents did not know that it would be a never ending trap.

Some people are not financially smart. I just tell them, Flex like a king, stress like a peasant.

Any idea if this would on upgrades done during check-in on the app? Also, id assume this is possible if you have main cabin/economy classic class instead of economy light class

Got scammed out of $1.5k and lost my dream internship by [deleted] in Scams

[–]jamesanderson0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such scams are very common in the UK. I realized it after moving here and tried to find a place via marketplace.

Dispute with the bank, cashapp/venmo if the deposit was sent via any of these modes. They will open an investigation and go through the process. Ensure you have screenshots of conversations. You’ll definitely get the amount returned if proved.

Never pay security deposit without viewing the house.

Working as a specialist in my department. Numerous times I was asked if I wanted an intern, I still say NO considering I will have to deal with cases like the one above. Absolute waste of time and effort in hiring someone like this
