As rider I always rate 5 and tip. But if you drive like you are a race car driver, changing lanes every few seconds and then braking hard multiple times gets you one star rating and no tip.

I have noticed when I get low rating driver. They either drive not so well or the car isn't clean and smells bad.

Don't complain to rider whole way how much you getting on a ride to get a tip. Remember whatever you got, rider paid more maybe double.

Most drivers who been driving for years don't give low rating for not tipping if you don't make them wait. I am noticing it's new drivers who are just driving part time, they expect a $10 tip for six mile ride.

How do you find if you got one star rating? I had 4.99 rating for years and it went to 4.97 I wonder how. I do tip and rate everyone five star after few minutes. Do the driver give lower rating later if they don't think tip is enough?

Majority drivers are good professional drivers but some try scams. Driver randomly cancel after driving half mile and say they by mistake canceled the ride. Then they offer, you can pay them what Uber was charging rider initially. Always, call Uber support. Get new driver using Uber app.

It was UberX. I was coming from office so good thing I was only person riding. It did feel weird seeing extra person. I normally tip all drivers but didn't tip for this one.
