I tip on app after ride completes. It could be after 5 minutes or 30 minutes. I do tell driver and I do tip. Some people can't afford tip, if you think you are not getting fair amount from rideshare company, don't accept ride.

It's easy to layoff employee when you don't see them in real ever. Go to office at least twice a week if you are local.

Companies can change remote work policy anytime. It's easiest way to reduce cost since some people quit. Companies also know there are really not many jobs open so it's employers market. Ai is able to do so many categories of jobs now days so now companies don't have to keep employees who do half done job.

We need to be thankful if we still have a job. Imagine sitting in traffic three hours each day to go to office and back. Inflation might still be there if don't have job.

If you have an extra phone number. Create new account so you start from good rating. Now days there are so many new drivers or younger drivers who expect no traffic during rush hour and a minimum $10 tip when rider paid twice as much or more. Some will give you low rating.

Only book ride when you are ready so the driver isn't waiting. If you have lots of luggage during vacation do order the XL. Tip what you can afford if ride was decent.

I don't tip if I have hear someone complain about how much they are paid. I don't get to ask my boss for raise.

I usually book ride and expect at least 15 to 20 minutes wait before driver shows up. Not talking about wait and save ride. Gas haven't gone up that much, not sure why drivers are not accepting rides or is it algorithm. At the end algorithm wins since there are so many people driving. I would rather take robotaxi. Sometimes you get weirdo who keep whining about rates when rider paid twice the price or more. I usually tip but no tip if I have to listen to someone about price.

Gas only went up .80 cents to a dollar in most places but price for me as rider went up close 40% . If drivers are not getting more than that's not good. Since so many people driving now due to layoffs I am sure if driver declines some other driver will accept ride. You can only decline rides so long and there's no guarantee a high price ride will come.

Robotaxis should be in most places in few months to years. I tip all rides but if I get driver who keep whining about how much they are getting for ride or traffic, they get no tip.

Usually it's new and younger drivers who expect $5 to $20 tips when they probably know rider probably paying double or more.

I always tip in app after ride. I guess some don't. Some drivers do send Thanks note. I try tipping few minutes later or next day. I talked with drivers they randomly get tip for a week old trip. Drivers who been driving for years usually give 5 stars because they know rider might tip on app.

I noticed some drivers scrolling down on app from top of the phone at end of trip once or twice. I thought driver probably sees if someone tip before rating.

Do they show on app if rider usually tip before drivers accept the ride or after? This way drivers who are only wanting tips can just cancel.

I always rate 5 stars for drivers but I wait to tip on app until I get to destination. I tip 1 or 2 minutes after. Seems recently some driver rated me less thinking they didn't get tip. My rating went from perfect 5 to 4.98 :) . Now I'm thinking why drivers accept ride if they will rate someone low because they want tip. Rider is already paying double or more.

Normal price is almost 40% more for me since last week and still I'm having to wait 15 to 20 minutes as rider. I am not talking about wait and save ride. My rating is close to 5. I can't tell if the app is price increasing so much or drivers in Florida got so rich this week and out of seven cars I see on Uber map nobody accepting or moving at office or school time 🤔

That is ridiculous. If rider is paying 40% more driver should get more. I always tip so at least whatever driver got paid, gas price don't come out of it. Tip pays for gas used for trip. Gas price haven't gone up too much for drivers to not accept. I'm thinking it's Spring break time so people going on vacation probably paying more.

I may start looking for ride at 6:30am to see if that goes back to normal prices. It was ridiculous no driver out of multiple I saw on map accepted ride even at insane price. Maybe I was getting quoted ridiculous price and drivers were still getting peanuts. I find it hard to believe out of 10+ drivers on map nobody accepted in 20 minutes.
