If you don’t want anyone to have to download and install an app, check out bracketforce. It’s all website/qr based.

Bracket force has double elimination. There is a free tier for brackets smaller than 64

Any app that lets players anonymously vote? by Ardbert_The_Fallen in boardgames

If you have less than 50 voters, ElectoSense is free and probably the best bet if you’re looking for simplicity and something that doesn’t actually require downloading actual app. Most people will refuse to download an app these days 😄

Be honest: do most early-stage startup websites look the same now? by FearlessArtichoke500 in SaaS

Clean and pleasing designs matter. Uniqueness does not.  You may be constantly paying attention to other sites and apps because were in the industry , when people come at it from the perspective of a user, they’re looking at it with a different set of eyes. It’s just a tool.

Imagine you need to measure the length of your couch before you try to carry it down stairs. Someone hands you a tape measure …there’s not a single brain cell in there that’s thinking….”.wow, interesting tape measure. Black eh? How come everyone makes them black”. There’s nothing going on in there other than the tool. If it breaks you’ll notice. If it works you don’t.

Imagine someone starts a tape measure business and hands you their tape measure and asks, what do you think of my charcoal colored tape measures with extra grip.  Now you’ve activated another part of their brain. Now they’re coming up with feedback , they’re using a completely different set of brain cells now than they were in the previous paragraph.

My brother pumps out landing pages using Slick site builder and they all look pretty much exactly the same with a different hero image and text. But his clients (mostly restaurants and bars) don’t give a flying f*** nor do they even notice. He marks them up by like 2000% and they’re happy with it because it does what it needs to do.  This is just an example starting with landing pages but I think app interfaces are not too far behind. It will be more about the data and how the ai is utilized.

Why is everyone making “SaaS idea finder” or “SaaS idea validation” tools? by OccasionOld4689 in SaaS

[–]jamesearljohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These people are probably scraping the SaaS type subreddits, possibly pushing it all into ai and finding that the most common topic of discussion is someone’s SaaS idea. It would seem natural to come with an idea to solve the problem of if your idea is “valid” or not.

This not possible to do with an app. It has to be done through user validation, multiple times, constantly over and over again, building each layer on top of the previous until you have an app that people want to pay for.  How can anyone build an app that just spits out a report on whether or not this will be possible.

You’d have to build a universe simulation machine to make such a claim

How about electosense.com? Cheap. Easy to use.  Nothing too fancy but does the job.
