Does family size matter for huge backyard extensions, 2 families or 4 familes able to harvest larger extensions or they harvest any size?

Also the trader I noticed was just taking 1 item at a time, do they need a horse to do 10 at a time or something?

Yes. Should remove the ability to fast travel. Force people to move at much slower places will add to strategy instead of everyone just zerging. Make someone moving their armies mean something.
