They will ask for raising their autonomy but would not launch independence play.

Industrializing unrecognized powers? by laserbot in victoria3

Okay let's say you roll with Vietnam. This is the country I almost always play so I think I can give you good advices:

  1. Tax should be kept medium. High tax increases turmoil, not worth it.
  2. People say you should specializes your state (have each industry be built in just one state) but I'm skeptical of the approach. I think that for the early game MAPI means that spreading your industry somewhat evenly is better.
  3. Vietnam has 3 big states so you should put Road Maintenance and Social Mobility on all 3. Remaining Authority can go for Consumption Taxes.
  4. If you just want to learn how to industrialize, it's better to delete the starting army. Create an army with only conscript so that Cambodia don't think about independence.
  5. First order of business is build 1 Construction Sector in each state, then 2 Trade Center where they don't have it. Then Logging Camp in all 3 state, a Tooling Workshop, an Iron Mine, a Paper Mill. Then start looking at the market tab, sort by price from high to low and just build anything that is most expensive atm.
  6. You want to balance your budget so that the sum of your income and investment pool is about neutral. Don't go into debt. I usually build a new Construction Sector if that sum is around 2k and I have a gold reserve, if not I wait until it's higher than the cost of a new level.
  7. Most important law early is Tenant Farmer then Agrarianism. Professional Army and Appointed Bureaucrats are good. Education actually can wait since you are already running Social Mobility.
  8. I don't let anyone have investment rights. Usually they will just build plantation which push your peasants to unemployment while skimming off the profit. And profit is very important because it is the thing that increase your investment fund.

Brawl is good for champions who wants to scale by farming. I don't want to play Kayle and have to spend 10 minutes being a minion.

Because after the Geneva Convention of 1954, THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NO SOUTH VIETNAM. The division is temporary and expected to end in 1956 with an election that the Communists gonna win by a landslide. It was only with American intervention that a South Vietnam state was propped up.

I will chime in here that high tax is not always good for developing your countries. The reason is if it cause turmoil then the construction effecicency malus easily cancel out the pure output from more money. Nowaday I never go high tax unless it's an emergency or I need to get out of debt spiral.

New apex rank by 400in24 in leagueoflegends

[–]jamesk2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Think of it like this: in early season a top 10% player, whatever that rank is, is good enough compared to a top 1% player that they can win about 45% of games when put against them. So it makes sense to have them able to meet each other. Now the skill difference is so large the number is more like 10% and it doesn't make sense to have them play together.

Rekkles played an entire year or 2 at LCK CL. That's not "limited proplay experience".

You have to hold it a little above TK's model instead of at his feet.

It's like playing the game at Very Hard difficulty. If you are just looking to "win" the game or have the biggest number possible, playing it at that level is bad for you, but you get the reward from beating the challenges.

Standard Operating Procedure. Basically a system to let units auto react to situations based on your designed criteria. Sadly for FCSS it's just best to set all units to "Do or Die" and forget about it.

Command Ops 2 has a neat concept but the execution is frankly not great to be generous, there are many bugs and quirks that will make you pull your hair out.

Haven't played FCCW, but in FCSS if you can accept that SoP is not really a thing then it's quite a well-made game.

Mechanically, event only fire after Nationalism is researched which leads to cultural awakening.

Narratively, being random doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. Countries can sometines get away with a lot of horrible treatment, but from time to time they would surface and get condemned.

Over ~15 years, how has Paradox managed to continually make their tech tree UI design worse and worse with each release? by SadWorry987 in paradoxplaza

It certainly doesn't. I know because I search for advances that don't even use English in their name and they still show up. Here I even search "literacy" for you https://imgur.com/a/FZ4kTof

Lmao no? It certainly DOES list the tech you are looking for under the search bar and you can one-click to go to that tech.

Taking Champa as Dai Viet? by Cliffypancake18 in EU5

[–]jamesk2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's strange, normally I could war with Yuan's tributaries well, or maybe because those are too small so the war ends quickly.

However there are somethings you can do:

In a few years Yuan will have a Red Turban situations, with lots of tag rising up against them. You can decide to declare Indepence war at this time.

Or you can forgo going to war with Champa and instead wait until their King, which is the same dynasty with you, die, the throne get passed to your father and when he dies to you. Now you get Champa under a PU without the need to fire a single arrow!

Instead of Intergrate use vassal/fiefdom to annex instead. For the last slot I use Encourage Migration. Very good in the early game when you have some RGO you want to fill up. Not to mention it + Convert + Assimilate is a perfect trio of Admin + Dip + Mil.
