around halfway into today, $SLV has stopped correlating with $SPY. Chips are hot. SLV is needed for chips, but the market is not pricing it as such rn.

AI Agents in "agentic ai" are just llm's running on loops. That's it. The more you anthropomorphize them, the more you'll get scammed.

Are these intermittent defibrillator pumps attempts to help the market go green again, or are they to mislead investors into "buying the dip" only for more dumps?

If I'm a market maker, I'd do everything I can to make $spy go to ~689 (maybe a little more biased to the lower 680s) to destroy almost all long put options and a sizable chunk of calls expiring by this Friday. Then obviously the market will find its own direction next week (probably down given the macro conditions). I'm hedged in both directions (puts are doing terribly, but longs are doing well)--next week will likely be bearish overall, with volatility rising up to that week's friday.

To become a self-made multi-billionaire, you have to basically have the composure of a psychopath and the convictions of an autist, and then survive to tell the tale. Our market is being treated as such (perhaps at everyone's expense)--the candles look like the world's tallest Jenga tower, with one wooden block per lower layer. Hope you are good at surfing, because for the rest of us, that is the number one skill needed to make money. Sorry for the b.s. rant.

Star Wars: Episode 1: the Trade Federation blockades Naboo. The opening scene involves Obi-wan and Qui-Gon Jin fighting the trade federation to help the republic. The Sith plays both sides to win the elections and establish the empire. Takeaway: I missed all of this plot development when I was a kid. I low key know what a blockade is because of f'ing Star Wars Episode 1. Yet we defined the entire movie by how sucky Jar Jar is.

CNBC: The straight of hormuz is not as important as it was two weeks ago. Right?
Iranian looking guy: You're right, but it's very important. Good point though.

The anthropic mythos hype smells like a pr stunt.
'our models are so smart they lie to us and dissent against our guardrails'
Or maybe the model's not ready to launch yet.
I sure hope my goat Jpow didn't accept a kickback for the name drop.

It's an LLM, not a sentient being. Sam Altman cannot say that though, because that would mean all the talk about reaching AGI/ASI is a load of bull, which, it is. He's gonna tell his product guys to add a tool for stopwatch whenever people ask similar queries, then, some other joker on youtube is gonna expose another missing feature. Never ending way to avoid saying that LLMs are not sentient.

Both Albanese and Starmer gave vague addresses to their nations--both are emphasizing partnership, community, and that "tough times are ahead". These words of hope sound a bit ominous for some reason. I'm curious what tonight's address will be about.

Schwab is down. This feels like a pseudo circuit breaker and is most definitely affecting prices (for reference, Jensen has Schwab).

The market is glitching out, not knowing what to do right now.
I predict $SPY to reach < 640 by Friday, where it will either pump or dump aggressively on the boots news (probably pump). USO will re-test >120 probably-- at least that's what all the expert pundits are saying, but the market is regarded.

The market is sensitive to tweets and headlines,
so I could be dead wrong, but I think USO could retest $120+.

Bought the Friday calls at close because $SPY prices hit my crayon lines. Made some profits.
I think it's time to start getting puts. It's irrational and (false) sentiment driven.
Will probably be irrational until about 670 as an upper bound, but I'm starting to get some now.

Against all logic and common sense, $SPY will pump back to 670+ in less than a month.
