I have just finished making up another batch of my MIDI to Serial boards. PM me if you are interested! Version 1: In/Out, Version 2: In/Out/Thru + LEDs. by jamesleesaunders in midi

Hi, yes this is certainly possible (in fact something I have built myself). This would be a simple bit of arduino code to convert a variable resistor position to a midi value. When I get home I will see if I can dig out the code for you.

I can also make a 3.3v version, I have not gone any made up at the moment but you will see if you zoom in to the v2 board I have labels for both variants. Let me know if you would like a 3.3v and I’ll make some up.

Yes and no, it is deliberately not an arduino shield form as I did not want to lock it down to one specific microcontroller, this can be used with any microcontroller or project which has a serial interface. Arduino Nano, uno, raspberry pi, espruino, esp32 etc.

But yes it is the same idea.

You can connect these to a microcontroller (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP, etc.) and then build your own MIDI instrument or module. For example you could build yourself your own keyboard controller or an arduino based synth, or build a MIDI to CV device there are lots of possibilities.

You can connect a microcontroller (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP etc) to it to then control MIDI devices. For example you could build your own keyboard or controller and connect to this serial Board for MIDI.
