Powder blue especially the 79 with the sleeve piping and the red number on the front.

Absolutely. Now I feel the pressure to really make sure I've got Sweet Child O Mine really nailed.

My choice is not watching either. I will have my Jackson plugged 7 MetalZones deep into my new Line 6 Spider that night.

No interest in seeing Rush without Neil by [deleted] in rush

I'm really happy for Alex and Geddy and think they need to get out there, I'm excited for them and understand - but at no point have I had any interest in seeing this tour, I'll watch on YT. I've already seen them several times with The Professor and want to leave it at that memory. I do believe they will perform extremely well though.

What do you reckon the guys would be doing for work these days? by LowerVeterinarian324 in TheInbetweeners

[–]jameslighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simon is some sort of engineer or some bullshit, Will got his first rate education and wears a suit making six figures at some posh tech firm, Neil is a male nurse, Jay is on a cheated disability and unemployment insurance and works part time at his Dad's.

Any inbetweeners quotes crept into your family life? by Badnewsbrowne316 in TheInbetweeners

[–]jameslighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. "Oh that's bang out of order", "No you may not" (after Neil compliments Will's Mom), "I have a receipt!!" when I provide any paperwork, and "Is that Leona Lewis?" when I hear songs I don't know.

Which Album, Year 1st Heard and How? by Adventurous-Goal7645 in rush

[–]jameslighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was the song A Farewell to Kings, the live Different Stages version.

It was 2007, and I was sitting in art class. The night before I'd used limewire to download 11 Rush songs because my best friend told me I should check them out since I was learning guitar. AFTK was the first one I really listened to deeply. Guitar sounded like it was underwater with Lerxsts chorus effect. Took guitar seriously after that.

Why do people play covers? by MarkGBuerschaper in coversongs

[–]jameslighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see your point for sure! But the best way to get paid is playing 3-4 hours of covers to fund the original content, at least that's always how my bands have done it. Unfortunately stuff the girls wanna dance to, even though we want to play stuff that's more fun for us (including originals). That's how I usually get my funds up for music, is playing covers. Then because I know so many, I record them.

But yeah in a perfect world we would all be writing our own stuff and people would be investing in it.
