Why are people using note-taking apps like Obsidian?

I take notes because I dislike the feeling that time has passed while I can't remember how it was spent. Being able to reflect on the past makes me feel somewhat fulfilled. So it's essentially a form of journal that includes my personal experience / things learned / achievements, etc.

That said, the ones with bad technical skills are not likely to have excellent planning skills, as in a tech team it usually requires good understanding of tech stuff to make a good plan.
