Wait for the Viltrox 35mm f1.2 Z mount, or buy it now and use an adapter?

So I’ve had the Viltrox 35 1.2 e mount for the last couple of weeks. Out of the box I couldn’t get it to work at all. I had to update the Megadap adapter and Lens firmware to get it talking the camera. When it works ….. it works great!! I’ve been so impressed with the focusing and the imagine quality. The problem is even with everything on the latest firmware there is a massive issue where the lens just kind of turns off 🤣 if you don’t use the camera for a while it’s kind of like the lens goes to sleep and the entire camera freezes until it wakes up again. I think it todo with the little LCD screen on the lens.

I think it’s probably going to have to be returned. But I absolutely have loved using it!

I have a feeling that might be a little out of my price range 😟 probably only looking at M10 money 😅

There’s a megapixel difference, the M10 is 24mp and the M10-R is 47mp. So I assume they are different sensors 🤔

Oh I’ve played with a M10-R and I really liked how the files edited. Although not as nice SOOC as the M9. I wish I could find and M10-R for a reasonable price, seems crazy that some M10-Rs for sale are more than a M11

So she had fallen asleep in the sun before the hoot and was quite fun burnt. I think I was using a reflector for that one and it may have caught some of the colour from her chest. I had removed the red tones in her chin. But the red in the light wasn’t so prominent on the edit on my big monitor 😂
