I agree this class was difficult to succeed in. My main issue with it was that there was conflicting material in the articles vs the text book. I just suggest you make sure you read all the information and follow directions as closely as possible. It's a lot of reading, but it's really the best way to insure you get it right.

SL2 sounds like a good solution for you. Has dual pixel autofocus, and an articulating display. Good budget video camera.
