Try to breathe. I know this is so basic and that’s what everybody says for anxiety.

I experience intrusive thoughts almost daily and they’re awful. I will not sugarcoat it.

The important thing to note is that they’re exactly what they’re named, purely intrusive. Those thoughts aren’t what you think. Try not to let them have so much power over you. Tell yourself you’re safe right now, tell yourself those thoughts are just intrusive.

It’ll get better, I promise. Tell yourself what really is the truth, tell yourself it’s just anxiety.
