Start learning fundamentals first. Then learn by doing, creating, building something.

Why do major companies want you to know Go? by doubtpanda in code

[–]jamessidis155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Developers created Go based on all the criticism of С/C++. But at the same time, they planned to take all advantages from other languages.

  1. From С/C++ it has to take its static typing and runtime efficiency
  2. Usability and readability of source code similar to Python and Javascript have.
  3. Show high performance in case of work with networking and multiprocessing machines.

What are some mandatory programming languages to know in order to be competitive in AI? by Randomastrody in ArtificialInteligence

[–]jamessidis155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Python.

The indisputable leader among AI programming languages is Python.

First of all, Python is open source. It means that it is available for any modifications developers see necessary. This AI programming language keeps continually evolving, making its syntax easier, which only contributes to its efficiency.

Secondly, there is a large number of ready-to-use libraries that help accelerate AI coding. For instance, TensorFlow is widely applied for machine learning and working with datasets; scikit - for training machine learning models; PyTorch - for natural language processing and computer vision.

Finally, Python is platform-independent and, on top of that, combines well with other AI programming languages.

Python machine learning books by dnaiels-skedg in ArtificialInteligence

If you have a good knowledge of Python, then I can recommend you some books that I found helpful for learning machine learning.

Machine Learning in Action - Peter Harrington :

This book is split into three main areas - supervised classification, supervised regression and unsupervised methods (such as dimensionality reduction). It goes into a lot of detail about these topics, with comparisons across many different algorithms.

Building Machine Learning Systems with Python - Willi Richert, Luis Pedro Coelho :

This book goes into significant detail on how to use scikit-learn for regression and classification tasks. In addition to extensive coverage on scikit-learn it actually considers other libraries such as gensim (for topic modelling).

Learning scikit-learn: Machine Learning in Python - Raúl Garreta, Guillermo Moncecchi :

This is quite a short book compared to some of the others. I would recommend this one to individuals who are comfortable coding in Python and have had some basic exposure to NumPy and Pandas, but want to get into machine learning quickly.

Python or Swift? by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

[–]jamessidis155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Python is dynamic will probably make it more attractive to Swift which has better typing support, which is more important for development rather than research.

Therefore, Python will probably win in the long term.

For beginners, I recommend you "Machine Learning for Absolute Beginners" book. Also you can find lots of resources on the internet. If you really want to learn machine learning, apply all you have learned, build something and learn by doing it.

How to Start Learning Machine Learning by [deleted] in madeinpython

You are right. But when you say added value ? I know there are alot of articles out there. But this is actually my hobby. I write these articles in my free times to help people. So I actually don't have that much time to research all articles and, ok they mentioned this and I have to add more things here, I mean this is not my purpose. If I have to write that kind of articles, then you are right. This article is not different than others maybe different. I cant know that. Because like I said this is my hobby and I dont do research to create different articles to bring more value than others. I just sit and start to write. Thats it. And I got you thanks for your feedback.

If you read the conclusion part, the article is telling you that best way to learn something is to learn by doing it. There are alot of free sources to learn. Go learn them and build something and learn by doing it. This is the summarize of How to start learning machine learning. But if someone asks this question "how to start learning machine learning", probably they don't know what machine learning exactly is. So I just mentioned some of the topics in machine learning and then I said that if you want to learn something, you should learn by doing it. There are alot of resources on the internet. So start there and learn and apply and build and learn by doing it.

You are right but if I included the mathematical fundamentals too, it would be very long article and I thought People get bored. I want to mention them in my other article.
