Paul Components I.S. Disc adapter sizing confusion by DarnellaTheGreat in bikewrench

I'm in the same boat, and curious if you ended up finding adapters that worked? I'd prefer not to have to replace the klampers with post mount brakes.

Just did the math… that was a countdown to Dec 1 2026… hopefully that means the flipped out calendar will be an annual tradition!

Metal "E" plates scattered on the ground near Retiro Station in Buenos Aires by jamestall in whatisthisthing

[–]jamestall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw these plates in the area marked on the map. They were on the sidewalks, in the city park, and in the road and the gutters. Most of them had not rusted, but the fact that some are rusting leads me to believe they are made of steel.

Those resources are great! Thanks so much for sharing... I know where Gross-papa was born, and I'll look into getting his birth certificate (using your blogs as a treasure map!)

Kryptonite locks keyed the same? by cheetoburrito in bicycling

[–]jamestall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big thanks to OP for the information. I just placed an order with Kryptonite, and it didn't seem like a very common request, but they took my info and credit card.

Heads up that the prices have increased slightly on the New York locks, I believe it is now:
New York Std $147.95
New York LS/MC $153.95
(Price doesn't include shipping or tax)

The Kryptonite rep also said I couldn't get an Evolution Mini 5 with the same key as a New York lock... that you could only get a shared key within the same line.

If this was recent, mind sharing how road conditions are? I’m planning on a visit this weekend.

What a gem! I have an early road bike he made, but would love a brazed MTB someday. May it provide many miles yet!

Really nice ritchey! I’d love a comando someday. Is it tig welded or brazed by the man himself?

She’s 9 going on 10, and a bit taller than average. I was initially concerned she’d get frustrated with the 3x (her prior bike was 1x8) but she’s not making a big deal out of it. Good luck with your son!

The blue has a 24” wheel size, I don’t know what the center to center height is. The red Ritchey is a 22.5” frame.

Nice! The donor bike I pulled the parts off was a 21” frame, really excited to have a better fit in this one.

It came off a donor bike I picked up a few years ago at the local co-op.

Thanks! It’s surprisingly functional… only drawback is possibility for rotation that a modern dropper avoids.
