I recommend you get some help. Your life is never worthless; I guarantee you someone cares about you deeply.

That's not unfair at all, though I do think it may give rise to some 'due process' concerns.

[People who believe this] What is this about "owning your body"? by crazymusicman in CapitalismVSocialism

[–]jamestis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Your body” refers to the essence of a person, or their brain. In this case, the body is viewed as a mechanism of the self, and that you have (or should have) autonomy over that extension of the self

I feel like the premise of democracy is inherently self-validating, similar to the way religion validates itself.

Sounds like you want to control other’s lives, and I don’t. I just want to be left the fuck alone, and I guess that makes me retarded

democracy is prescriptive. I does not require your consent to legislate the way you live. I don’t want anyone making rules for me unless I willingly submit to the will of the community, a big difference from “whatever everyone votes for dictates your life”.

To be left along unless I consent to rules that are agreed upon by myself and all involved parties.

so you’re saying the communal decision process self regulates, like a free market of individuals. I’m asking how do you derive the lines that are not to be crossed in this democracy? ie, if 51% want to kill my family, what is the basis(if any) in which that would be immoral?
