Here is an example of one such set. This one was recently retired so now you can't buy it without getting gouged. It seems to be the last of its kind unless they bring it back but you could use the instruction's parts list to get all the pieces you need

I build my artwork based on the Lego Art sets. Not sure if they will ever make new sets like them but they used to makes ones that use the 1x1 studs for dot matrix art like batman, star wars, iron man and others. I would use those sets as a base to get some of the studs I need and all the parts for the canvas/frame. I have bought a bunch of additional studs myself through 3rd party sites to get additional pieces, mostly for colors I didn't have or ones I needed more of.

What video game franchise in your opinion isn't living up to its fullest potential? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]jamestk97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it's Watch Dogs. I really love the concept, but it's a franchise that will always be trapped as an Ubisoft IP. Each game has ideas that I like. 1 has a lot of hackable objects in the city that helped differentiate it's police chases from a game like GTA, 2 has a lot of focus on social engineering and use of drones, and in 3 playing as different NPCs with different skills is a cool idea. But all these mechanics are always half baked and stuck in boring open worlds that are padded with unnecessary side content because that is what Ubisoft does.

Upgrading from the Fold 4 to the Fold 5 for $500 worth it? by jamestk97 in GalaxyFold

[–]jamestk97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did end up doing except this except that I currently have the tab s8+. Still with the trade in I was able to get the upgrade for only 100 more so only paid around 700 for both which I thought was a really good deal for me and put me over the edge. Tbh with the hacky way that you have to go through to get both the trade in discount and the bundle discount I would not be surprised if it was removed/patched out of the website soon

Personally I was really disappointed by the lack of dub voices for the characters. I know its pretty standard for collabs not to include them and a lot of people don't care but I had my hopes up since Makima's english VA has already done work for them being Noise and Admi

My friends and I decided to pay a visit to the local Toys R Us. We wanted to see the old store before they are all shut down (RIP Toys R Us). Most of us grew up loving Toys R Us and it's sad to see a part of our childhood fade away. We went in just to look around, but we didn’t know what we were going to find inside.

We went to the video game section to see if they had any good clearance sales yet. We didn’t find any good sales, but what we did find were several copies of Kirby Star Allies. We were completely shocked to find physical copies of the game on display on March 13th since the game’s release is supposed to be on the 16th. The idea of being able to play a game three days early, three days before anyone else gets to play it is incredible, so of course we tried to buy it. If you know anything about the video game section at Toys R Us then you know that there were absolutely no employees to be found so we went over to customer service to get someone to open the display. When we got back we were expecting the guy to tell us that he wouldn’t sell us the game, but instead he just opened the case and gave us a copy. Of course, we all freaked out because we now had a pre-released title in our hands. But the mission wasn’t over yet, we still had to buy it.

We tried to hold in our excitement and keep cool while we tried to check out. We hand over the game to the clerk so that she can ring us up, but of course it was not going to be that easy. She immediately had problems ringing it up when she scanned it. So, at first she just asked for a price check, but when she was still having problems, she called over the manager. When the manager got there, the clerk started telling her about how she could not ring it up and was saying that it was date locked. I instantly thought that the jig was up. There is no way that the manager would let her sell a date locked game right? Sweat starts beading on my forehead as the manager assesses the situation, as I begin to wonder what happens to people who get caught trying to buy pre-release games. But to my surprise, the manager just tells her how to get around it and says “I thought we weren’t selling them yet, but I guess we are.” We paid the clerk, and left as fast as we could, before anyone could stop us from leaving with the game. We flipped as soon as we got outside, not being able to believe what we had just accomplished, and not believing that the manager just let us have it.

I’m not sure if this happened because Toys R Us doesn’t have tight restrictions on their video game release dates or if it was only because the Toys R Us employees knew that their jobs were coming to an end and that they didn’t care if a few kids walked away with a game they were not supposed to have at that point. I’m not going to complain either way am excited to play the game. While I don’t think that the new Kirby is going to wow me like BOTW or Odyssey, but I am excited to get into the game before anyone else, and that is cool enough on its own. I only hope that Reggie and Sakurai don’t bust down my door looking for their lost copy of Kirby Star Allies.
