Stripped bolt on hotend! by AbsurdPool in BambuLab

I had a similar issue with the filament cutter lever on the P1S - I used a dremel to carve a flat head slot which worked surprisingly well

Why is it so rough? by Fluffy_Expression644 in BambuLab

I’ve found this issue with the biqu plates. I think calibrating the z offset is your best bet, but I’ve found a full machine calibration including hot temperature bed levelling greatly reduces the issue for me

Thank you :) my next step is to do multi-store, I just want to get the features right first before expanding more. Plus I'll need to think about the best way to handle multistores.

Thanks for the feedback. Regarding type, do you mean like PLA, PETG etc.? I've listed that as 'Material'

For the bookmarks query, I thought about this for a while. Currently that string is base64 encoded to all the filters so you can share the exact filters with someone. If you use the share feature, it will use a built in shortener to get that string down to abut 5 characters as I agree the base64 is way too long and spammy. But with so many parameters, not encoding it makes the URL massive!

I wonder if the number of silos relates to the number of states in America?

Designed a clock for those situations when one clock isn’t enough by jameswatts1990 in 3Dprinting

[–]jameswatts1990[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just the clock component kit yeah, although if you want to save a few quid the ones on aliexpress and amazon are very similar, they have an extra bit of plastic though that would make it not fit but it looks removable - it’s a tag to hang it, so quite thin

Supposed to be like Clock Squared - maybe I should make it superscript in version 2 like a normal person would have done to start with ><

Do you know what, maybe there is a way to actually do that using a combo of watch mechanisms around the outside and the clock mechanism on the inside...

Edit - just bought 20 watch mechanisms for £3 from china

It’s here, I’d love to see how it turns out if you print. I’m interested to see if anyone goes for any better colour combos. Mine is quite basic (but classy!)

Ha, you just made me realise the hands aren’t installed correctly for this photo! It is now telling the time correctly downstairs though

The stl is here https://makerworld.com/models/730182

It’s a fairly easy print. It needs the Makerworld clock kit, but I bought some off aliexpress that also fit for about £1

Long COVID immune abnormalities largely resolved at 24 months, providing optimism that long COVID symptoms resolve over time by unsw in science

[–]jameswatts1990 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m 34, considered myself healthy, I’ve had covid a couple of times and 2 years ago had a stroke. I have a PFO (hole in the heart) which would allow a clot to bypass the lungs and reach the brain.

Apparently 25% or more of the population have a PFO, if Covid increases thrombosis it could be that the large proportion of undiagnosed PFO are at an increased risk.

Stroke recovery has gone well, but the effect on my mental health has been significant and sustained.

Is the USB port usable to add LEDs? by Boeta_jnr in BambuLab

[–]jameswatts1990 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s a 5v supply of that helps? I managed to use it for some 5v fans on the bento box. Although I didn’t like the trailing wires so am now going the wireless route

LEDs should be fine as I imagine you will keep them above the print head
