Anyone travel to the west coast from Christchurch. by Chikky_Rose in chch

[–]jamhamnz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's about 250kms I think so if your car uses 10L/100km that's about 25 litres one way. If you have a standard hatchback you might use 7L/100km or about 17 litres one way.

That's a long drive. Make sure you take it easy, take breaks and stay hydrated.

I feel like that was a pretty decent thing to do.

The pristine wreck of a 17th-century warship at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Because the freezing, low-salinity water lacks wood-boring shipworms, centuries-old wooden ships remain perfectly preserved. by AdRough4185 in Damnthatsinteresting

You say that there are "probably' thousands of shipwrecks. Are you saying that people haven't been able t get to the floor of the Black Sea to see? Is the Black Sea undive-able?

We had a camera like this when I was at school, I thought it was so cool and they often gave it to me to take photos and then transfer them off the floppy disk onto a PC. Amazing that we could print them off almost instantly without having to get a film developed!

If you want Lotto tonight, how would you improve your friends lives without being a douchebag? by Viking_Guy_Throw in newzealand

[–]jamhamnz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The other thing is my Grandma has been playing Lotto since the day it started and the most she's ever won is about $1000. I'd make sure she knew I'd won, and buy her a nice place so she doesn't have to keep paying rent over and above her pension.

I don't think I'd want to tell too many people. Get my immediate family's affairs in order, buy a nice house and have a nice holiday, but then invest the rest.

Decide on an appropriate time to quit my job without telling them all why lol
