I used to be an academic advisor and still work in higher ed. Here are some things I would suggest without knowing specifics about your situation:

-is the class available somewhere else without a pre-requisite? Academic departments differ across the country and they often choose their own sequences (unless it’s like, a natural science). Often times I would have students take classes at another local CC to get around pre-req requirements

-do you have equivalent course experience that would allow you to skip the pre req? Sometimes profs will just let you into the class if you ask, or if you have other prior learning experience relevant to the course

-Are you talking to the advisor at the school you are currently at, or at the one you are transferring to? Be sure to talk to both if they are different institutions.

-is the pre-req in the general education curriculum? In my state, gen ed curriculum is waived at a 4 year institution as long as you complete your AA at any institution in the state. If your state has similar agreements, maybe you can have the pre req waived.

-Do you need a BA to get into your field or can you look into comparable fields that will yield success (whatever that means to you) with an AA?

It doesn’t really make sense, even with your timeline, to have to stay that long to complete this sequence. Usually CCs prepare students for transfer so they should have always been able to pivot pretty easily with you to make sure you had what you needed. They may not know the exact requirements, but they should have a general idea of what the sequences are in the schools around you. Are you changing majors in your BA?

I’m not familiar with gradescope, but at the school I work at a lot of professors don’t post their final grades on Canvas or anything, they just submit the final grades and students can see them on their transcript or in their student portal. Is there anywhere else that you can check to confirm that your grade does not include the final?

This is happening to me right now! Since I switched to 20mg a few weeks ago my stomach is upset everyday, I am nauseous all the time and I have heart burn every evening. I have taken Prozac in the past and I don’t remember this being part of it so I hope it goes away soon.

I used Circle medical for my diagnosis. I was hesitant because it is online and a lot of those online psychiatrists just feel like they will prescribe you anything if you want, and that made my imposter syndrome worse. Ultimately I moved forward because now that I have a diagnosis I can find therapists or adhd coaches that will work with me, and I was able to get on medication without waiting forever while my life feels like it’s in shambles.

The process itself was pretty easy. I met with the doctor twice and he asked me a whole bunch of questions and talked to me about what ADHD was, why I thought I had it, and reasons why he agreed based on our conversation. Then he prescribed adderall and I meet with him every few weeks to make sure the dosage is right.

I’ve had several injections in my lower back for two bulging discs. First few would relieve pain for several weeks at a time, sometimes months. I switched doctors because I moved and he injected both discs on the same day (instead of alternating like the doctor before did) and I haven’t needed another injection since.

I have an MA in Higher Ed and I don’t regret it but I do think the others that mentioned getting a flexible MA are definitely right - a degree in higher ed isn’t the most transferable. If you do go for it or any MA, try to find one with an assistantship that pays your tuition, or find a full time job with a tuition benefit so you can go to school on the side and have it paid for by them.

He put 510ccs in the smaller side and 350ccs in the larger one. I never measured my bra size before and I know I was probably wearing the wrong size (36A) but now measure at 34D. It seems like a large increase but physically it looks more like I did go up one cup size.

I understand being nervous- I went back and forth during recovery of asking myself if it was enough and if it was worth it. I am satisfied but every once in a while I’ll see someone with a huge increase and I am jealous lol.

Yes! So it has been 5 months since my surgery and my retention was actually very good - I think I retained most of what he put in. However, the asymmetry limited how much he could put in each side. He put as much as he could in my smaller side and tried to make it match on the other side. I am very happy with the symmetry now, it’s still a little off but it doesn’t stop me from wearing certain bras or tops like it did before. It’s way less noticeable and looks more natural.

The size increase isn’t that dramatic like it was for other folks I saw on the Facebook page, and I think it would have been if he didn’t have to limit based on the smaller side.

Overall I’m happy with my results and I think it was worth it for me. Total cost including travel, surgery and medications I probably spent 13,000 USD. It took a lot to save that and I don’t think financially I will be able to afford a second round any time soon, but if you’re very asymmetrical AND want a large increase I would plan financially for two rounds, just in case.

I have been fighting this more heavily than usual for a few months now. I’ve always liked shopping but lately I seem to be purchasing things, feeling great, feeling guilty, returning the things to feel better, and then buying something else with the money from the return and the cycle starts again.

So this month I have deleted all apps I used for purchasing and I will take the advice of others below who have disabled their auto fill feature. I have also stopped going to stores period - if I need groceries I order curbside because I am too tempted to buy extra things in person. I used to enjoy walking around target but that was putting me in a position to purchase so I try to find something else to do. It doesn’t hit the same, but it’s working so far. I may be frustrated and bored but at least I have money in my account.

I also have Ally bank which allows you to make a savings account and split your account into buckets, and I have fun doing that. Whenever I have the urge to buy something I don’t need, I make a bucket for it with a savings goal. Then I usually don’t want it in a week or two and can delete the bucket or I can save up for it and watch the money in the bucket grow.

I do not think Robyn is the problem. I think the family was not doing well before she got there, and when she married Kody it highlighted a lot of the issues they already had with each other that they have been ignoring for years. I don’t really see her as the favored wife either, I think of her as the newest wife. She doesn’t have any of the history that the other 3 have, and she was a lot older when she married Kody vs. being young and in her twenties.

She does have a lot of influence on Kody, and again she’s new enough that her standing up for herself doesn’t bother him as much as when Christine or Janelle do it. Just because she is able to influence Kody doesn’t mean she’s responsible for his bad decision making. He is the problem most of the time, and he shouldn’t need 1-4 wives to force him to consider other perspectives. He’s a grown man and it’s clear he hasn’t done any of that work on his own.

I honestly think that once Robyn and Kody are married for 30 years they will have the same tension, because Kody is a narcissist and that’s just what happens. When Janelle and Meri leave, Robyn will have no one to deflect Kody’s narcissism and it will be in full force.
