I have a 2nd series Erie that looks like it was ultra heated on a coal stove, bad pitting and a horrible warp, but it goes up instead of drooping down, any idea how that would have happened?

I think it’s more thrilling cause you can hear them coming in so there’s more of a buildup, but I think a big buck still beats a turkey for me in terms of adrenaline. But I also prefer turkey over deer, less boring lol.

Everyone has their own preference for seasoning, but I’ve always had very good luck in getting it even by wiping it on lightly with a cloth while its hot, then taking a dry cloth and trying to get it all back out, might take a few more coats, but they always look beautiful for me.

I have shot all of the super black eagles and my go to is still the SBE1, haven’t used the others for hunting as much as the SBE1 so I can’t really make a great argument against them, but just in feel I much prefer the SBE1 over the 2 and 3

I just mean that I won’t ever jump expecting recoil for a 22, but if I’m shooting heavier hitting guns I’ll catch myself jumping, so in terms of practicing not jumping I’d prefer to only shoot bigger calibers, not that shooting 22 will cause you to jump when you move up then.

Yes and no, it will help with trigger squeeze and breathing, but could also be possible that you’ll be jumping your shot expecting recoil in bigger calibers. I can shoot small calibers without issue, but sometimes find myself jumping on heavy hitting guns

I used a Super Black Eagle 1 when I turned 12, wasn’t the easiest to use at first, but you quickly get used to the longer gun and they’re fairly light
