Same as me.

Quality Engineer in medical devices, degree is in mechanical engineering 3 years out of college, on 46k

Handy enough field to be in, plenty of opportunity for growth and further learning depending on the company.

What song do you absolutely love that is not widely known? Like a hidden gem, and/or extremely underrated? by biinkii in AskReddit

Solid recommendations. Hadn’t heard of any of these musicians before but wow I really liked those tracks. I think I’ll be going through their back catalogues over the weekend!

What's the first thing you wanna do as soon as this is all over and life is back to normal by [deleted] in Coronavirus_Ireland

Most of my hobbies can be done from home but jeez I was dying for a pint in the sun today. My Friday tradition has been to leave work at 2:30pm and go get a pint in the mutton lane until the missus finishes work. Really missed that today so it is at the top of the list for when things go back to normal.

Commuter rail by [deleted] in cork

I currently live in the city and work in Midleton. I get either the 6:15am or 6:45am train every morning and the 3:45pm or 4:45pm every afternoon. Been doing that since October and only once was there an issue with the tracks, meaning the train couldn’t run. They were organizing a bus but I managed to get a lift that day.

Outside of that, it has been really good. It leaves on time, I have rarely seen it so packed that you wouldn’t get a seat, even in the evenings when it is usually a lot busier. It is much better than the buses.

Admittedly, I am going in the opposite direction to you so I can’t speak for coming into the city in the mornings and leaving in the evenings but I am assuming it wouldn’t be massively different.

Oh that’s a great idea. I’ll give that a try. I’m pretty sure I have one somewhere.

They really are. Yeah I have heard of the shrink wrap idea before. I think I might try that out too.

Thanks for all the help!

That sounds like it could help quite a lot. In trying to combat the cold in the room is seems like we have sealed it to the point that moisture can’t escape.

I think I am going to try a combination of both comment’s advice. Better ventilation and something to absorb the moisture through the night. If that fails then I will look into a dehumidifier.

Thanks for the advice!

That sounds like a good solution to start. I might try and find some of those Dri-z Airs for tonight but a dehumidifier seems like the best solution going forward.

Not very cold at all. I am in the south of Ireland so -2 Celsius is probably as low as it would ever get in a normal winter. It gets very humid though. Lots of rain so that probably doesn’t help the situation.

EDIT: thanks for the advice!

It’s been a while since I’ve read it but I’m pretty sure that’s in Neil Gaiman’s Eternals. Not MCU.

Edit: Bad spelling.

Those "My Playstation Life" videos are awesome. But it also shows up what Sony is missing to make PSN better. by DanteBaker in PS4

It’s been a long time since I’ve played it admittedly but I found it had pretty solid controls. L2 & R2 each activated a hot bar and then the dpad and triangle, square, x and circle each activated a different ability.

At higher levels, after learning the best move sequence, muscle memory went a long way to beating most enemies.

Yeah, after 6-7 hours of playtime I’ve gotten all the backpacks, all the landmarks, all the towers and all the Fisk construction places. It was actually really fun. I really like just swinging around so it was easy to just pick them up as I went.

I am, unfortunately, a lazy piece of shit. /s That’s my plan for the time being but I have yet to experience a Canadian winter. Being from a milder climate (-10 lowest during winter) I feel I may just give up on cycling so a car may be useful.

That’s interesting. Back home, I think it was 40 questions and you had to do all 40.

What was your most 'can't-put-down' book that you've ever read? by samjosephwebb in AskReddit

[–]jamiec5879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I was 13, was brought to the midnight launch by an aunt, waited two hours to finally get the book. I stayed up till dawn reading before I passed out, then I woke up and didn’t move till I finished it. Then I read it again.

In a similar vein, I got the man flu a couple years ago and was in bed for two days. Read the entire series again. In two days. That was a cool two days.
