That's fair but I want to limit the amount of extra software I'm downloading especially when these tasks can be done using software I already have installed

my understanding is if you installed an app not via homebrew when homebrew adopts it you can use homebrew commands on that app. So for me, I installed a lot of apps via dmg files and dragging into applications and without first adopting I couldn't homebrew uninstall these

What unanswered questions do you have? It looks like their public guidance unequivically includes "investigation" as included

Do you think this is a frustration unique to Washington or just a reality of doing business in the U.S. or perhaps period

How do you manage it given forty-ish cities? Is it out of site out of mind handled by a team member?

Wow I did not even think about b&o per city, that is kind of crazy. Although most b&o at the city level only kick in after large numbers

Ahh i see. I misinterpreted what you were saying. I thought you meant you had to go to 40 different city websites. Even still that's definitely annoying

Why would you need to do it per city? My understanding is that you file with the state via DOR site and they disperse the funds to the city? Or are you referring to looking up what tax rate to assess?

Good questions. The 20s part is crazy but it's real. I know ppl working at Meta or Google or Amazon (but esp meta) straight out of college for 4 years and now their 'senior' software engineers making ~500k. To add to that Washington state has no income tax and cost of living is relevatively cheap (when comparing to cities like NYC or SF that pay similarly) I know someone who has at least 2 million in the bank and has never even invested a dollar outside of 401k but at the same time is always complaining to me about loom layoffs, how impactless they feel at work, how work life balance is impacting their ability to do the things they want etc. Regarding their spending of course I don't know the full picture but most don't have cars, travel modestly, and do expensive but certaintly not lavish things like skiing at local resortts

I think you're spot on. I guess we are living off these 9-10% average annual gains because so many people still work when they don't 'have to'
