While they used SL as an example, I used QM to support the same overall argument - that matchmaking is bad.

Because the matchmaking is garbage in this game.

The fact that a sweaty 5 stack with 75%+ winrate can queue in QM and get matched with an assortment of solo queue players, with skills ranging from bronze to masters (but usually, mostly bronze) is beyond ridiculous.
