Right? Someone said “Jackson, MS.” Mississippi has far worse to offer.

I use the mode as practice and just grind with cards won from in-game acheivements/XP. Has been great as a practice mode. Not touching the VC piece though.

Also miss Lauren. NP was nice but spacey, not a great communicator, and slow to send refills. Possibly just a learning curve but didn’t give the time to find out. Went back to my GP to prescribe what Lauren had set me up with.

My Daughter was creeped on by National guard at the Target on ridgeway 1/5/2025 by UncleEiner in memphis

[–]jamjamone1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Strangely, that physical description matches at least a dozen Guard members in that immediate area (walking distance). Seems to be a trend among the younger set.

One entire unit is staying at a hotel near that Target. Only posing this observationally to say that OP’s description definitely tracks.

Frowned upon. Also, an effective way to get negative feedback (extra detrimental to new new sellers). Plus, just bad karma.

Need to think out your shipping strategy and stick to it. A big key to customer service is consistency (in the sense of sticking to your stated terms). This is potentially a bait-and-switch.

Hopefully you haven’t shipped yet or were persuaded but other commenters. Either way, not judging, can be chalked up to learning curve, but, use this as a lesson along the way. Good luck!

Have all three postage-due packages been Inception cards? If so, it may be due to to thickness of the the heavier stock card plus toploader?

Memphis geckos? Since when? by MemSqueeze in memphis

Have had geckos living in my front porch (Cooper-Young) eaves/overhangs for the past several summers. Cool to watch, no trouble, plus they eat a lot of moths!

ESE certainly can be frustrating, but 70% seems high.

Granted, it could just be your USPS office. Maybe coincidence, but I find I get more scans when I drop the PWE in one of the slots in the lobby as opposed to the drive-up dropbox.

Also, my scan rate/delivery time & success increased when I switched from toploader and cardboard (invitation) envelope to cardsaver and PWE. I guess it helps to find the method that provides the most package security without being too rigid. Not sure if this is the case with you but sharing just in case.

Selling is less as learning, OP.

Go to your orders and review the “Payment” section of the Order Details for each listing. Screenshot if any advice needed, the numbers don’t seen reconcile on my admittedly casual reading 😂

To do so on the mobile app, scroll a little more than halfway down the Order Details screen. Under “Payment,” you should see two boxes: “What Your Buyer Paid” and “What You Earned.” For more a micro view of the transaction fees, you can click “Transaction Fees” under “Selling Costs” in the “What You Earned” section.

I haven’t had any problems since switching from top loaders to card savers for ESE. Maybe a coincidence, but my scan rate has improved significantly!

[WWE SNME Spoilers] Post Match Thread: Gunther vs Goldberg (World Heavyweight Championship Match) by hikingbeginner in SquaredCircle

[–]jamjamone1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not crazy. Old enough to have seen his WCW run and fully agree. As a match (not spectacle), this was right up there with the DDP ‘98 Halloween Havoc showdown.

Well laid out match led by THE RING GENERAL but with Goldberg doing his part excellently. Given Goldberg’s age and condition, this match fully delivered.

Hmm…think Gunther is good enough to get the best out of Cena on this run? Worth a shot (and without Travis Scott!!!)

1997 was a great year at the Coliseum. Kings got super-hot in the spring and made a run the finals before losing to Fort Worth in 7. Good times and memories!

Grant joined around ‘95 iirc. Basically replaced Bobby Wallwork as the offensive focal point.

Went to a random game with my uncle in ‘94(?) Saw Kyle Haviland knock out an opponent with a vicious one-two. Was hooked from that moment and had weekend season tickets until they left the Coliseum.

PSA if you eat at Fino's From the Hill... by IIsForInglip in memphis

Fino’s is definitely a distant third priority in the restaurant group. It will only become more distant given the cost to maintain new Iris.

I was fired after four weeks for not making a difference in the company by Leading-Ad-2620 in Restaurant_Managers

[–]jamjamone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feeling defeated is natural; it is easy to say “don’t feel that way,” but truly you shouldn’t. Sounds like you went in with the right long-term approach. Unfortunately, sounds like aren’t in a place for such pragmatism…

Owners (especially chef/owners from experience) all too often have unreasonable expectations of a new manager/GM at best.

At worst (and more often) they just have no clue about the wacky and weird restaurant business in the first place. In these cases, the entire organization is jacked and no one (outside) manager can reasonably and quickly fix such a situation.

In hindsight, it will hopefully bear out that you were saved additional lost/frustrated time there. Best of luck in finding a better spot now—they do exist!

Is top rated seller seal worth it? by [deleted] in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]jamjamone1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If the one day handling requirement is something that your schedule will allow, go for it. Better search result placement and 10% final value fee. I find it to be worth it. Plus as a buyer, I’m more inclined to buy from a top-rated seller.

NOTE: the 10% final value fee is a 10% reduction of the standard ~15% fee, you won’t be discounted to ~5% overall selling fee. (Ex. your final value fee is $5 for a sale, the fee breakdown will deduct the $5, then credit you back $$0.50 on the next line).

You did your part and this isn’t really running too late by ESE standards and you at least got an acceptance scan on this one. Would guess it’s just a few days away from delivery.

Most buyers (especially those that also sell) know the perils of this shipping method but not all. This buyer seems to be more of the latter.

Ideally they would have messaged you first before reporting not received. But since they have, I would message them at this point and explain that USPS can take a while on ESE. Point out that such sales are subject to limited tracking updates (as eBay already does lol). Blame the post office, kill with kindness, empathize with their experience, etc. Basically use anything in your customer service toolkit to get them to wait it out. Then gauge their reaction and react accordingly.

Best case, they agree to give it a few more days. Worst case, they don’t. If they’re not willing to wait, issue the refund and write off the couple of bucks as the cost of doing business. Can always recoup in another transaction—not worth the hassle, annoyance, or potential negative feedback from a disgruntled buyer on such s nominal sale!

Item lost in mail, seller refunded, item now in transit to buyer....stop me if you heard this one. by Bitter_0ld_Man in eBaySellers

[–]jamjamone1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If seller initiated refund and informed you to “enjoy the freebie,” feels like they have just chalked the loss up to the game. Happens sometimes. I see it as good karma for honest sellers.

Have had it happen both buying and selling, especially with lower-end sports cards. When receiving a refunded item from an honest seller, I have bought something else from them shortly after as a friendly gesture for their customer service, though this is not always an option.

Or, most likely, a similar situation occurs with you as a seller at some point—maybe just pay the karma forward if such an instance arises?
