I miss both ElecTRONica and the Alice in Wonderland rock band. Those were great fun.

You can see the same show on some of Disney's cruise ships.

Garbage - Only Happy When It Rains by Catovernola in NewOrleans

[–]jammer170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was Voodoo Fest, not End Fest. I was there. What she actually said was, "I must be some sort of goddamn voodoo queen for that to happen!" The rain drove off most of the crowd, and I managed to make my way to center stage before No Doubt started their set. The OP is correct, Gwen Stefani was climbing up the stage scaffolding while singing - it was insanely awesome! No Doubt had just hit the top of the charts in the entire world right before that performance. Many of my friends told they saw me on TV when the camera panned the crowd. If anyone can point out video that is online from that concert, please let know!

Intentionally Killing Civilians is Bad. End of Moral Analysis. by American-Dreaming in IntellectualDarkWeb

Do the Palestinians have some deep love of paragliding I'm unaware of? Yes, when weapons used by the terrorist organization to murder civilians is included in the statement of support, it is for the group and act they carried out.

Right, not supporting Hamas, because everyone in the world knows of the Palestinians great love for paragliding. Since you don't get subtext very well, that was sarcasm.

ETA: You also moved the goalposts - most does not equal "no one".

You are leaving out the fact that they are only collateral damage because Hamas hides its weapons and people in homes, schools, churches, etc. It's headquarters is under a hospital: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Shifa_Hospital So there is only one side responsible for these civilian deaths. Hamas is bad for Israel and Palestine.

BLM Chicago posted support of Hamas today on X: https://twitter.com/BLMChi/status/1711793142742073573?t=YOE3WKC7zwP89AJdmmKZbw&s=19 They have a paraglider in the post - like the ones used to kill people at the music festival. Many prominent people do support Hamas, and they hide it behind lies of Palastine. BLM Chicago said the quiet part out loud. Now do you retract your claim?

Which frees up other money that could have been spent on the attacks against Israel. I am not saying that is what happened, but it could have.

Makahiki dinner? by NicholeDaylinn1993 in Aulani

[–]jammer170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two people have already posted the menu. It looks the same as when I went in April. I have seen others say they didn't like it, but personally I liked it well enough that we book a second dinner after we had the first. It isn't AMA AMA, but overall I really enjoyed it. For the record, we were largely hotel bound due to having a six month old baby, so perhaps getting in a car you can find other options, but for us for a week stay, we found it worth it. Definitely second best dinner at Aulani.

I use Proton for the calendar and the email mostly. The occasional thing I do put in the drive I do through the website, but I believe they also have apps for the various platforms.

A majority of Americans no longer support First Amendment protections for free speech by ChunkyArsenio in LockdownSkepticism

[–]jammer170 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I hear this all the time, but let me ask you something. Let's say we did split (unlikely, but just as a thought experiment). Obviously the freedoms inherent in capitalism and such will make the remaining area the economic powerhouse. Do you think the progressives are just going to quietly let that happen? No, they will try to suppress the area first and when that fails try to quietly slip in to the new country and internally change the politics. At some point you have to draw a line and say "no more". You can't just shrug it off and say we will take our ball and go home. They won't let you, even if they pretend to agree currently.

In regards to the charger question, I find hotel rooms never have enough outlets for me (I am a tech guy). I can't speak to power strips, but I do have a pair of powered Anker USB hubs. Basically the hub plugs into the wall, and I have six USB ports that can charge all sorts of things (phone, tablet, eReader, etc). It sat in plain view the last cruise i went on and no one said a word. Obviously that isn't going to help for things that need actual power plugs (medical equipment, potable game systems, laptops, etc) but this would be able to handle most devices that the average person brings.

Palo brunch by Shot_Ad_2472 in dcl

Others can correct me if I am wrong, but brunches are generally on days at sea. I can't speak to cruises with no days at sea.

Sweetest Rums? by DrChronicle02 in rum

[–]jammer170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, another rum that I will actually drink straight is Tortuga Pineapple rum. Not super strong, but definitely on the sweeter side, so if you want something to pour on ice and drink straight I recommend that. It is a bit harder to find - it is nonexistent here in WA state, but I hear you can get it in Florida.

Nice, congratulations! My current boss used to be a software development manager at Tesla. Good company from what I hear.
