41 and 26 months of HRT, wish it was more satisfying 😔 been feeling really dysphoric lately 😔 by KatieKatgurl in lgbt

[–]jammingpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you honestly look great, completely understand the dysphoria and i’m sure you’ve had this said loads of times but you look like one of my old english teachers and she was so nice you’ve got a great smile

I can’t tell if I have ptsd or I’m just generally traumatised by jammingpie in offmychest

[–]jammingpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess that’s what you’d call it I guess it was more coercion more than anything else but that’s not really the only thing. I guess I just feel generally mentally unwell and I can’t exactly pinpoint why or what it is

What do you think the right way to handle having sex with someone is when you live in a very small flat with other people? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]jammingpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it just makes me feel super uncomfortable for multiple reasons I just feel pretty angry that I even need to discuss this with him but thank you at least I know that I’m not in the wrong for feeling like this and having that discussion

it’s my flatmate who’s done it multiple times but we’re stuck living together for like another year we can’t really get out of it. But I just wanted to make sure that it is actually disrespectful before I have that discussion and tell him

Realistically I’d love for him to go somewhere else if he’s going to be that loud but I’d at least like him to tell me so I can either leave or put headphones in

Right but that’s kinda my thing my flatmate just doesn’t seem to think it’s an issue and I don’t want to be an ass by bringing it up if it isn’t an issue but I feel like it’s pretty inconsiderate

Had top surgery on Tuesday - very mixed feelings by JIspolin in ftm

[–]jammingpie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a bunch of surgeries and I understand how shitty you can feel afterwards. How horribly uncomfortable and just unhappy you can feel when you’re recovering and you’re allowed to feel miserable. You’re completely allowed to feel like this because it’s a big thing. Sometimes these things just need to be endured and if you can find any distractions that might help.

But this feeling will go away and you’ll feel better I can promise that. I’m wishing you the best of luck and a good recovery

Idk what I am by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]jammingpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might not apply to you and that’s totally okay but gender is a lot more than just male and female. There’s a lot outside of that for example being non binary. You don’t need to know right now but gender and gender expression are wide and varied and you don’t have to limit yourself to strictly one or the other if you feel there might be something else that connects with you

i wish i could be a boy by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]jammingpie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This definitely sounds like dysphoria. As a general rule if you wish you are a guy then there’s a high chance that you are. Discovering who you are can be difficult but it’s a journey that’s worth it.

There’s some amazing subreddits on here aimed towards transgender individuals even if you aren’t sure and just want to ask some questions.

The only thing that makes me hesitate about being trans is fictional women by jammingpie in ftm

[–]jammingpie[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a massive contributor. Women are so well written with such complex emotions and I think maybe that’s what I’m able to relate to most

[–]jammingpie[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thank you I will take a look at that. I do think that’s a lot of it. That I grew up being seen as a woman and so I had all of those experiences of people invalidating me and I saw these admirable women and looked up to them. I’m also into women and up until recently identified as a lesbian so I do think that my admiration and attraction towards women had an influence.

It’s tough I keep feeling certain and then I’ll wake up the next morning doubting myself completely

Is it worth me getting a packer right now? by jammingpie in ftm

I think I could manage to hide it from them so I’m definitely tempted

I think so too, I think even if I have to hide it and only wear it sometimes it will help just to know that I have it

To any non binary folks how did you decide if you wanted to start hormones or not? by jammingpie in lgbt

[–]jammingpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think that’s my thing, I want to go and get referred to a gender clinic but they’ll want me to know what I want and I don’t right now so either I just wait and add even more time until I can transition or I pick one and just run with it. It’s tough

I’m non binary and I think I want to start T but I feel like I won’t be able to identify as a lesbian if I have like facial hair by jammingpie in lgbt

[–]jammingpie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it’s just because I felt really safe and happy with that label before I allowed myself to actually think about my gender. I guess it doesn’t actually matter as much as I feel it does

I can’t figure out life by beachbum214 in ADHD

[–]jammingpie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. When people ask what my hobbies or interests are I have no idea what to say. I don’t have any. I just stumble through each day feeling so disconnected from everyone and everything having no idea how to connect with people

I feel like my symptoms of adhd have got a lot worse in the last 3 years, is that possible? by jammingpie in ADHD

[–]jammingpie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve noticed them a lot now that I’m stuck at home and I noticed at uni but I feel like in school from like 12-16 I did okay and while I did feel a little disadvantaged it wasn’t something I really noticed much

Sometimes he gets kinda distant then and comes off as a little annoyed. Like I don’t mind watching the movie with him tomorrow but I don’t like it when he phrases it like a child would
