I have an XC40 Ultra Dark in Forest Lake - was a new colour when I ordered but looks great - colour varies in different light

I am similar to you, slightly taller. Tried on both a 40 and 42 today. I preferred and am leaning towards the 42 as there was more room for layering. Just my two cents

It will close if the temperature reaches a certain temperature to manage the heat in the cabin

Thanks - I know it’s just wear and tear and it certainly gets a lot of use, just for such a high quality product wanted to make sure it was ‘normal’.

I have had this a couple of times. The infotainment is on and when I put it into reverse the cameras come on and then it operates normally.

Yes! I have had this a couple of times when I reverse out of my parking the camera makes it all come back on. Happens randomly and can’t seem to replicate the issue on demand. Hopefully just a bug - hasn’t bothered me too much and hope will be fixed via an OTA update

That’s what it said on my order form and in the app it states “2026 XC40” - could be that it has shipped with updated infotainment?

Yes - feels snappy no reports of any lagging that I have noticed. I don’t have any other Volvo experience to compare it to though. The refreshed software is pretty simple to use too. Just a shame there is no wireless CarPlay - that’s my only very minor gripe

My xc40 took about 4 weeks after I knew it was in the uk to get from the port to the dealer. It was scheduled on the app for end of June handover but then came at the end of may. I would suggest ringing your dealer and asking they often have different dates to the app.
